Those earplugs for an Ipod wich goes deep in your ears are pretty good. But there isn't much different between ipod earplugs or headphone. The only thing that matter is that your sound must be blocked from outside so you can only hear the game sound.

There isn't much surround sound in Earphones, only left or right.
I suppose that is enough for some people, but headphones with surround sound make it easier to PP.

It doesn't matter how much you spend on earphones. Crossfire works on a two speaker system, so super expensive surround sound earphones are a waste. So some cheap 16$ over the ear noise canceling ones are fantastic.

You know cf only supports stereo
And stereo is also the best option to hear ghost instead of using some virtual surround sound.

You will do good with both since this game only supports 2.1 ss, dw about the sound quality since most desktops/laptops come with a decent built in audio card nowadays.. but if u want to be known as a good player you will have to do more den dat

Earphones causes damage to your ears, I recommend headphones.
And I just keep the sound on without any headgear.

headphones are better if there are background noises in your play area.
otherwise, theyre the same if their sound quality are the same.

50 dollar creative sound blaster headset is all I need. I think headsets are a little better but overall there isn't much of a difference. Trust me, you don't need to like spend 200 dollars on a headset for 1 game mode >.<

Ill say this. My $10 sony earphones were what I used in my best days in Invisible. My 100$ skull candy had no sound in the left side after a week and sucked for breath.

Maybe a real nice pair of headphones would be best, Beats or turtlebeach or something. But if you wanna go cheap, I recommend sony earphones.
