Got to agree.
The combination of a fast slash, 1 hit headshot (2 to the chest), and light weight (faster B hops) makes a skilled Kukri/Kriss user far harder then a katana. All my hardest games in GM were facing Pro Kukri users with great B hops.
Katana has great power and range but the heavy and slow B hop makes one a sitting duck against good PinPointers. Either need teammates to distract them or enemy players too...
Just annoying while I try to stay away from the AKers and get killed by them -
Mybad. I do forget that most of the people aren't skilled enough in CF. I'm saying this because I get way better results with the BC-Axe then with the Katana. Then again, I've been playing CF for a little too long ...True, but the Katana can make a noob be more of like an intermediate player. Since most people just starting out in GM camp most the round, the Katana really cripples any team with one or two sprayers that are holding a MG or an AK.
@ Sprayers Topic > Actually yes, the most of the problem is your own team. That's one of the two reasons I quit playing GR. The second one being getting kicked out immideatly as soon as you start PP'ing a little better then the rest of your team (if they do it at all to begin with). I think a skilled team of 4 GR players with silencers will be able to cover each other and both sites way more effectively then a full 8 team of mediocre/average GR players. -

Honestly, sprayers kill me (by covering up ghost noise) more than a random ghost just gets the best of me or I slip up.
I agree. I'm not saying I like them, but since most of the people play GM only for missions and the ribbon, you can't really fault them. More than half of my deaths in GM are from sprayers either flashing me for no reason, or making my ears bleed. -

Well, I personally find the Katana challenging to use. I hate the speed disadvantage personally. Usually, the lighter the weapon, te more favorable it is for GMers (my assumption) -
Some of this needs to be said. I certainly dislike the distribution of katanas lately which seems to a stupid range sometimes. I am glad they finally switched up dm to metro gm instead of lab gm for about a week straight.

I never get why lab is so popular. Sprayers are heard across the map, there are lots of gr camping places (think tunnels/vents), and few hiding places for ghosts.

Reminds me of that month of DM-Egypt mission, while there was a wallshooting/aimbotting outbreak ... Fun times.Some of this needs to be said. It is possible to rush, if they bunch together. Its way easier since you can get 2K/3Ks at a time ;D

Minimi event was horrible. But I did enjoy going 67/16 in egypt with it. Getting 7-8Ks with it. -

Also, as an anti noob statement, ive taken to shoveling ghosts and still come out with a 3+ kdr, albeit more hackusatioms.

GR B (Of course I'm A, I'm not spraying) sees BL A for a glimpse before he B hopped away.
He starts spraying a little in the direction hoping to get lucky.
GR C and F see him spraying and start spraying around.
GR D gets killed by BL B because he was distracted be GR B, C, and F.
GR G and H, who are near GR D, start panic spraying because their teammate die.
Meanwhile, BL C, D, E, and F are at a bomb site planting.
I'm there trying to stop them but can't hear or pinpoint due to GR B-G spraying to much.
Kill a couple and then die and finally the bomb blows up.
Results? 1 GR dies doing nothing, 6 GR waste at least 720 bullets on a room that is most likely empty of BL, and I kill 3-5 ghost and die to the last smart 3 or the bomb going of well I deal with the 8 ghost focusing on me. -

For me what's worse is just a guy with an AK spraying for absolutely no reason. I remember a guy spraying down the opening where BL can jump down near GR spawn. He did that for about 4 rounds before he finally got kicked. What's even more sad is that he never got a single kill during those 4 rounds from spraying there.
Or the idiots that AK spray the bl spawn for 3 clips. -

Laboratory is both the first GM map and the easiest to B hop in do to how flat it is. Very few things to mess a b hop on.
Hakenkruez has a lot of elevations changes and ramps to throw a b hop off.
Lost Relic has nearly no flat surfaces to B hop on.
Complex has a lot of stuff in the way and is very close quartered even for a GM map.
Bio Facility is still very new and most players default to what the already know. Plus is just plays out like a bigger Laboratory with a few added twist. -

Save for the FPS lagg inducing smoke, I like metro. Lots of corners for GR to exploit, but lots of flat terrain for BL. -

And the only reason 80% of the map is "unused" is because you need to MAKE it used. GR should really have taken out most of the ghosts before they get to the "cluttered area". Also clutter = ghost bottlenecks you can exploit :P

Most of the action happens at A site, B site, GR spawn, A/B site connections to GR spawn, and the strait away between A site and B site. GR have to go out of there way to use the rest of the space and by the time they reach anywhere all the smart ghost are already at or near the sites.
Metro is very BL sided tho.
The ghost have a strait path to B site and can get there and plant the bomb before
GR arrive if quick enough. Lots of open areas to bhop around. And thanks to how the sites are arranged, covering the defuser is very hard do to a mix of coming from above and many angles of approach.
