O.O Is there really a planet that is almost the same as Earth?But its like twice the size of earth and its mostly water?
Is the planet filled with Human with scales? maybe we have a dopleganer there or how everu spell that word, Dopleganer that is Like super hero's in our Earth? So there are aliens or SUPERMAN SUPERMAN IS REAL ! so do you think there really are aliens?
Do you think we will ever get to that 2nd earth?

I'm going off the basis of people who have encountered "aliens" through "abductions," many of these people describe the same situation, they are captive, treated poorly, probed/blood samples taken/other fluids/forced to have sex with other people or aliens/ painful operations, additionally these aliens are far ahead of us in technology, with that being said, why haven't these aliens simple taken us over and get what they want instead of doing random abductions especially if they are hostile torward us. What is stopping them from just taking a bunch of people instead of individual people in the most bizzare ways? does any of it make sense?

because maybe there are like us? just curious? they arent set out for destruction as movies make aliens to be.
If we were able to space travel efficiently we would probably steal an alien creature and probe it too. -

from what i gather, you're on about Gilese 581c. i thought that there was more evidence to suggest that life is less likely to have formed there than earth (but this could simply mean life following the basics we understand. carbon based, oxygen exchange etc. It is approximately 20 light years away from earth, which is 'rather close' at least on an astronomical scale, which could mean that eventually humankind will explore and colonise the planet, assuming we don't get wiped out and possess the tech.
statistically, there should be many planets which could harbour life in the universe, what with the billions of galaxies (or more, most probably more) each with hundreds of millions of stars) which should logically contain SOME life sustaining planet (or other celestial body, asteroids for example). this puts the probability of other life in a region close to 1 (exact answer is beyond human comprehension right now it seems).
Without going into all the science and laws of probability, it means that there could be life with which the human race will contact (if we're stupid enough).
if you think about it, the reasons humans are dominant on earth is because we're violent, rip resources from everything possible and fearful. Logic would dictate that any other species that gained the ability to travel to other planets would possess similar traits, which would most likely result in either both races (humans and the aliens) avoiding each other, or going to war and annihilating each other to quell any fears of the species being exterminated.
this business with doppelgangers, it's possibile, but highly unlikely (compared to the other things mentioned). what you're talking about is more of a 'parallel earth' which is where their are alternate dimensions which have almost the same rules, but with a slight change.

Hmmm, if you are abducted by aliens, can you convince anyone to believe you?
So in reality, truth is always as much as people believe what can be true.
Humans killed each other for what they believe was true for as long as history can be traced back, and so in the end the truth is decided by the victors according to their believes after surviving wars and battles.
If aliens come to earth to invade, which I doubt that they will, because of sympathy, but if they do decide to kill us, they will find a good reason to, such as possession of "weapons of mass destruction".
Could it be that, Republicans are aliens in disguise? hmmmm
