Eliminate Crossfire's Inside Game anti-glitch and hacks

Why do i post this thread about this theme?

Well very active players in crossfire may already know why
But Im gonna say many reasons to those who don't know about this or haven't pay attention to this because it haven't been bad for them in anyway.

1.-Every time you get into some surface with a little corner, you risk yourself while Side-Stepping to get Glitched inside that surface and get out of game by the anti-glitch which for me and many active and very good players...is the most horrible thing that can happen when your with a very good score in any game mode...This afternoon i was playing HMX doing a 264/1 score at round 14..almost 300 not very good but i anyway like it and then someone pushes me to a wall unintentionally
and like this example i can tell you many, which by those times i got out by the anti glicht tool, is the reason why im posting this (yeah im in rage).

2.-Every time someone gets out by this useless anti-glitch or hacks, they lag the Room for 1-3 little seconds which gets you killed sometimes by someone near you...

Personally: I would prefer to get back to the old days when you just needed to report someone who was cheating in anyway.
Maybe there would be a lot of glitchers again but at least, we have the kick option in all modes now to get them out of the room, and then report them ^^( Trust me i got reported one time for glitching and i learned not to do it again)

So what is what i ask?

All Crossfire players who are interested about this, please leave a comment about your experience with this horrible tool in crossfire, so maybe any GM could read this and see through eliminating or fixing this tool.

  • So you want under the map hackers walling and 1hitting you so you don't client error once every 10 games? Okay then.

Edit: I also forgot to mention that this was added to all version by the devs, not by Z8. Z8 can't really do anything about it.
  • So...
-Having people in walls/boxes/pillars etc unable to be killed but can kill you is okay.
-Waiting for the round to end in every HMX, MM, HM game because someone decided to go into a box.
-Under the map kills where you once again can't kill back.
-Having C4 put in awkward spots while its planted that you can't defuse.
    Probably alot more.

Yeah, no. I think I'll suck it up and avoid rubbing into walls instead.
  • I dont think removing it all together is the answer. I would prefare it to be - If you are glitched in a wall for over 5 seconds you get client errored. That would solve so many problems as most people just get shoved in to a wall for less than 1 second and are given client error... It does suck how it is right now :(
  • As annoying as it is, i rather not go back to the dark ages :/
  • OP is right since you can now kick in all modes, and if you think kicks fails why even add it:D

If only you got them solely by rubbing into walls...
I've got one the moment I spawned. Did nothing, just spawned and then client error. Hard to avoid that one.
You can also get client errors by having people touch you. I'm not talking about people trying to... penetrate you for lack of a better word, I'm talking about people brushing past you.

I don't necessarily want the client error out, but some tweaking is needed. You shouldn't get them so easily. Like Gh0st said, a simple delay before disconnecting would avoid 90% of them while still blocking glitchers.

I've never had the issue with people going through me. Only pushing me through walls. And with Ghost Mode, you go through people ALOT.

The spawn one is likely a different issue, there's several maps where spawns need to be fixed. Such as MM Port where you spawn partially IN the floor. So its less likely the anti-glitch issue and more of a spawning one, as before this even occurred odd spawn things have occurred, the client is likely just a response to it.

I never said it didn't need tweaking, but the OP is suggesting having it removed, which was what I was arguing against. Despite not having as many issues as others, I know its sensitive.
  • This has happened alot to me, I truly dislike it when I fall in complex, then people complain about glitching and whatnot.

I totally agree with you, i liked when this anti-glitch came in first, i remember i could get out from walls or surfaces quickly before getting out.
And for the guys above who gave me those examples about people intentionally glitching, i agree with you too. I was just really upset when i made this thread, but i finally posted this because i think to do it a lot of times until now.
Totally eliminating this is not a good idea, but at least fixing it or making it softly...would be nice.

Funny Comment XD hahhaa i rofl a lot, and about the Client error at spawn, it has happened to me either a lot of times!! in S&D and its really annoying. I remember 3 months ago some people had a Spawning uhmm...error.. where they spawned right in mid-air on the middle of the map( happened to me in Ankara dont ask what happened to me ne....Sniper)
  • Please remove this anti-glitch tool

As you said, this tool is indeed very annoying as you have a good score and boom... you get kicked out of the room, leaving you in rage. (Specially in HMX) It happens to me all the time and this happens unintentionally. Please fix your code Z8 programmers :P Keep up the good job, it's becoming a very good game.
  • I think the anti glitch system is a good thing, but yeah, needs tweaking. It's already improved drastically since it was first implemented. The delay idea to give you a chance to run back out of the wall or jump off of a railing that you're glitching into could eliminate a lot of C/E's. Til then I'll avoid getting between walls and other players. The ones that really annoy me are when you're running on a railing and sink into it a bit.
  • It's not an anti glitch tool, its a client error made against a hack. In fact it was never targeted to glitching, it just came to the case that it affected glitchers at the end.

The Client Error is usually displayed as 24_0, 24_1, 24_2, 24_3, and 24_4.

It was made to stop movement or animation hack, as well with no-clip(walk through walls), super jump, teleport, and fly hack.

The client error is not gonna be removed, its on every other versions of the game for a point.

How do you know this? GMs never really announced anything about it.
