Just trying to let you know in case you were unaware of it.
It's a bit of a complex script to display that on the event page and there could very well be something wrong with it. We'll have a look to see if we can find out whats going on.
At least know that the event page is still a reference, the games (obviously) are still being recorded in our game db in raw form. So we'll be able to get it right when it's time.
Thanks for the heads up. -

Alright, thanks for the reply.
There's also the issue of everyone DCing when the site when down for maintenence (I forget which day). Does that mean everyone that was in a GM clan war with 8+ people at the time gets a loss, even if they were winning? Is it possible to change that?
Something that seems so insignificant can be the deciding factor for some clans that have an otherwise perfect win streak. -

The game going down you mean? We'll look at those times and see what the best course of action is for those times. -

It a server maintenance only occured once 2 days ago.
What do you mean you're tired of it lol.
@Saidin, thanks, I'm sure lots of clans CWing at that particular time where the servers went down would appreciate not having a loss for it. -

U think it' s fair 2 v 4 or 1 v 3 think of it when someone get DC.. I Remember i play with oldlegend it was 2 v 4 and the one was with me he ain't good of GMs' -
Just a quick follow up. There was an in game announcement that went out a bunch of times before the server downtime.
That being said, obviously not all CW games finished up. However most clan war games that ended prematurely as a result of the quick (20 minute) maintenance, were not recorded in the system.
So while we understand there is some frustration for the time lost within the match, the game shouldn't show up on the record. -
I've noticed a change in the events page for the Ghost Mode Madness event, it now says 6 wins which is still wrong but they're for sure working on it.

Ah alright, thanks for the follow up. -

My clan is still only at 6 wins for the event when I check the event page, we should have about 20 so something is wrong. If you check my clan's match history you can see we should have more games played showing up.

We're still checking it out. There's a couple matches that are throwing up some red flags on the event page tracker so we need to find out whats happening.
Also, while we've changed the rules about disconnects/leaves etc. Note that the game still has to be started with a minimum of 8 people. (4 per side)
You guys have quite a few 3v3's.
Ninja edit, we're also in the process of checking the global stats for all clans. If we notice that there are not enough clans who can "make" the 4v4 then we might adjust the rules. But I think 4v4 seems like a legitimate starting point for almost all clans who have more than 5 members. -

I just went through all our clan wars from the 1st to yesterday. These are our wins (no losses) where there were at least 4 people remaining on one team or the other at half:
1 on the 5th
14 on the 3rd
5 on the 2nd
2 on the 1st
note* one says N/A on the 3rd at page 6. It was most likely a GM clan war since it has our 4 of our 8 or 9 GMers in it. The same thing happens multiple times on the 2nd of March at page 2 and page 5.
At the very least we have 22 wins, but it's probably about 30 without any errors. The event page is only showing 6 wins.
Please don't change the rules about having it minimum 4v4. Clans that were doing 3v3s just to get match points and lost them will basically lose the event just because the rule was changed. My clan for example is taking 4v4 GM clan wars very seriously and only letting very good people play, whereas 3v3s anyone can play. -

That would be a good idea 3 v 3 let it happen mr saidin.. -

Changing rules after the event starts that people base how they play the event is bad, unless what the player is doing is morally wrong. Doing 3v3 GM clan wars to ge tmore clan match points is not morally wrong, so those that did them should not be punished. -

While we don't really intend on changing the rules, if we have to adjust them for the better of the whole tournament we will. Though this specific one (4v4) looks like we won't need to adjust it.
There are some added calculations going on, weird things in matches where people leave before and after halves etc.
We think we've come up with the answers and are just going over the numbers now. Once we get everything solved we'll be sure to change over the event page so it can display the proper results. -

Alright, It still only says 15 wins for me though which is wrong, I'm guessing you'll still be working on it though.DerMaimensch wrote: »Well,I was wrong then.Just wait 48 hours and if u don't get it send a support ticket.
You were right, you needed both the 150 kills AND 15 games. -

Yup, your stats were slightly off on the 3rd but you should have more than 15 wins. We've figured out most of what was wrong before and have some more accurate results across the entire server as a result of this. But there's still some quirks especially with the new map that we're working out to make sure everyone gets the statistics. -
Since it seems like this thread is becoming a place for notes on what we're doing for this I will update everyone.
After looking at our data everything was shaping up nicely until some specific clans started coming forward. After some additional scrutiny we noticed that there are some problems with our scripts to calculate valid games for GM.
The problem is mostly caused by clans leaving before during or just after the first half of a match. Obviously this is a widespread problem and the farming clans are easy to spot and eliminate. The problem is more for the legitimate clans and matches.
Obviously we want to stay true to our ruleset and we're working on a new way to calculate valid matches.
This new way is slightly more complex (which can be a good thing) but is a little bit of a work in progress. We'll have more updates on this tomorrow. The new way has one small quirk in it though which affects the validity of a match that meets a very rare condition (the condition being when a winning clan has a player disconnect in a game where more than 50% of the opposing team has left or disconnected). This may result in the match not being counted on a record. However we would rather quirky disconnected matches that happen not be counted than try to accommodate everyone. Disconnects happen, we all have to deal and move forward. But again this situation is very rare it's even hard to replicate on purpose (which is good because it prevents abuse).
We don't expect any changes to the rules, however if there are drastic rule changes that need to be made we may "restart" the tournament days and consider this part a warmup. If the rules can be established and maintained then we don't need to do this and everyone can continue on with their merry selves.
We should have more information on this in the next 12-24 hours so try to be slightly patient. You all can continue playing within the tournament as most of this stuff is back-end calculations with the data we already have in the system based on your games anyways! We just felt it was good to give a few of the dedicated players some information!
For those who might complain about this kind of stuff coming out now. The Clan Server doesn't get used for a lot of these focused events. We want to do more of these so this is always a learning process. Just in a few days of Tournament Data we've managed to smooth out a lot of things for this one and the next one! -

So, does this means that the clan wars that happened previously will not be counted? And how about hac, kers? How are they going to be discontinued from the records? -
Saidin, im sure you have heard this many times already, and i've asked hi to relay this to you, but:
is there a possibility that you can put a personal participation tracker? just to relieve stress on how many games have credited in CWs to individual players, so there are no more worries of uncertainty on that. -
-
While you're here, can you address us your point of view against one more thing?
The issue being legit clan facing clans using cheats in the clanwar and thus losing or getting a tie.
Will these games still count? Playing against cheaters that is.
i believe you can use a replay and send it to a mod and that mod will render the game as null. thats just what i've heard though. -

GodsGunman wrote: »It just updated to 19 wins from 15 which I believe is still wrong but getting closer.
I'm fairly sure there are games that we played that didn't show up on our clan match history but I can't prove it.
The problem right now is caused when the winning team has a disconnect.
This may be something that we cannot fix.
Essentially 19 according to the scripts we have is correct, believe me I'm knee deep in your db records right now!
the problem is the couple extra games are where there were disconnects on both teams which creates an invalid game scenario.
IE you play a 4v4 and by the end of the game it ends up in a 3v3.
We're looking in to what we can do with this scenario.
