kill mark from other CF

Well i using a killmark from Crossfire VN. It is legal to have it in CF usa ?

It's perfectly fine. I have the CFVN black market spinner. They don't really care about REZ modding, I mean a MOD runs a site focused on CF REZ mods. xD

killmarks on rez file ? hmm ... new story ... u can be banned to modding rez files on CFNA ... but any IMG on cf root u can easily replace without worry

You can't be banned for modding the REZ files. Why do you think we have UI mods? We have an entire website, run by [MOD]Rory dedicated to REZ mods. People post screen shots of them using modded REZ files all the time. Check the win thread.

There's a difference between REZ mods and .REZ mods. Files in the rez folder than aren't .REZ files can be modified like crazy. Files that are .REZ in the rez folder get you banned for modifying them.

I'm talking about the REZ files, like kills marks and such. Those are modded by tons of people.

Technically they're not REZ files. They're just images (of any kind that the engine can render by default) and text files.

Kill marks are .tga files I think.

You can't mod weapon REZ, because correct me if I'm mistaken, but that file also holds the damage, ROF, accuracy, etc.. for the gun. And if you mod that, you can mod the weapon to be a one shot kill, with no recoil.

is in a different rez file, but close enough

...to an extent. the server will detect if you're doing a lot more damage than you're supposed to (it only took them two or three years to implement this. bravo!)
