Should rejoining be treated as an offense.

lol yea.. they should allow only 10 sec from the start of the start to spawn and not 30
it also prevents rushers to camp in the spawn and kill you as you spawn... mostly happens in ghost mode... whether its human when i dont even have time to change guns or whether its ghost (which is even worse) -
We've all seen it happen. You kill an enemy in the first minute of the round. He quits and rejoins, and manages to win the round.
Personally I consider this a form of cheating. A match is suppose to be between even teams with even chances. But rejoiners force you to kill them twice, usually after you've already taking damage during your first encounter with them, and thus disrupt that balance.
Should the GMs consider rejoining as an exploit, and thus punish rejoiners accordingly?
Please leave your opinions below, and explain why you feel they should or shouldn't.
Lol, it hardly matters for me cuz I kill most of em the second time...free kill for me so -1 -
It's too minor to actually be considered an offense.
You're incredibly ridiculous to believe people needed to be "taught" a lesson not to rejoin. What're you going to do? Remove their Honorable Ribbon?
You guys need to get used to them rejoining as much as they need to get used to taking a death like a "man". (Since you opened that chapter, might as well remove all overpowered weapons so we can play like fair "men"? right) -
-1.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with rejoining especially since it resets your score anyway. I can't begin counting times when I was acing with something like 7 - 2 and then just rejoin because I got unlucky or whatever.
SnD is boring enough already with all the wait whenever you get unlucky, but you want to make the wait even longer? I'm not playing 30 minutes long matches to wait 20 minutes out of 30. Not happy with it? GET OVER IT!
And a positive point: I can **** off HardCube David by doing it! -
Rejoining an offense? The whole idea here is that people want to play the game they joined to play. If rejoining means you get to play right away, instead of waiting 2 minutes, then why wouldn't you? 100 % of the time i rejoin it is because I want to play the game right away. To say rejoining is an offense or a type of cheating is simply ludicrous. People have the same opportunity for the first 30 seconds of the game.

I mean, what if this happens: You join a game, some guy sees that you joined, then they go over to your base and camps, waiting for you to spawn, when you spawn he gets a free kill and runs away.
But ya, I still think if people "quick restart" a game, they should not be able to play because that have already participated in that round. -
If you've seen something like this:GoPancakes wrote: »Am I the only one that has never had this happen to me before?
If it has, I am oblivious to it [probably just killed them again easily without noticing they rejoined
]
Then it has happened to you.
Not every rejoiner is that bad, and it can affect the balance of the round hugely when multiple people do it. How about someone dropping OP weapons in a round and rejoining several times? I've seen that as well. -
Just a quick random thought: if they came out with a ribbon given to those people that have "Good' honor, the quitting and rejoining might decrease.
The ribbon could be taken away if your "honor" dropped below good or it could be given if it ever improved to "good". -

And you have never started a game where it was 1v2 and killed one thinking there is just one left to get ****d by the third?
It happens, it's just bad luck and in the long run you will kill many double joiners and some may kill you, it works out in the long run.
Not that big of a problem.
On lab rush office towards bl spawn kill like 2 ghosts then rush to their spawn and as your doing that you see "Pro[N]oob has joined the battle" just after you killed him so wait for him respawning:p -
Simple as this, if your stupid enough to rush some where and get killed within ten seconds than stay dead it's your own stupid fault. Noobs that rejoin just need to get skill seriously so what if you have to wait. If you'd actually learn to play smart you wouldn't have that problem now would you. I say they add the Z.M. feature to SnD where if you leave the game your not allowed to rejoin it at all. I think it should be treated as an offense, because 2 lives is giving you an edge over the other players. Just like hacks give you an edge over other people. Whenever I see people double spawn I kick them out of the room.

It's not bad luck, its a definitive stacked odds against you because a player couldn't take a loss. They do it out of spite.
In GM, what about the spawn shield? Plenty abuse the invisible invincibility timer to rush you to take any and all damage to kill you if you spawn camp. Or take the opportunity to get away.
And there isn't always instances where you can sit and wait. There should be no reason you have to sit and hold an area because passing through or letting it go will get you killed because of a player needing to rejoin to win. Or, in a heat of a battle they get free reign because you aren't always able to rush the base.
I have no problem for late joiners, but I have a problem with re-joiners. One is intentional, the other is not. -

Personally I like the kills and sure it's stacked odds but if you killed them once you can usually kill them again.
When I make 6 kills in GM or kill the entire team I could do with a few more kills:)
In GM is as GR it is always wise to keep your distance from ghosts for lag reasons, including re-joiners who have the shield , I don't actually hold areas I just rush around the map listening for breath watching for movements and wiping them out it's fun:p
For a ghost to get anywhere near you they have to be good, you hear them at a good distance.
Intentional or not it's the same difference IMO. -

Problem is, the average player doesn't have the same skill set we do. I can usually handle rejoiners even if they are a pain in the butt. Most players assume when a player dies, they stay dead. Not someone popping up behind them 3 second later. Even the ones that are prepared still have to change their tactics to accommodate it.
And there is a difference, a person who joins late usually has no idea what has been done, where players are or if they even need to worry about spawn campers.
A rejoiner, KNOWS where at least one player roughly is, knows what their team situation is like and typically tries to work this to his or her advantage with the limited invincibility shield they get,
Also mentioned beforehand is in the case of GR, constant weapon spawning. Team of GGG's for everyone since one person dropped them like candy? Oh joy. -

Regardless do you think it should be an offense? -
Regardless do you think it should be an offense?I think any form of unsportsmanlike behavior should be demoted. So yes, I believe it should be threated in the same way as glitching, since it is a similar form of exploiting the game's mechanics for a purpose it was not intended.
