PSG, MSG, SL8... failed sniper?

Hmmm... In my opinion, whenever I used the PSg-1 or MSG-90 best was when I was covered. They can be used offensively, but later in the game when most players have taken some "don't care" damage (fall damage slight nade brush, etc.) But if I had cover with the MSG-90, I would wreck them b/c my team would have damaged them most of the time already. Also, they're good for camping spots where its harder to get hit (B Stairs in EE) They also do well against multiple charging enemies.
PSG is way better than MSG IMO -
There are a few of us who prefer the lighter, faster firing semi automatic sniper rifle over the heavy AWM or DSR-1. And to perform well with it means you need to learn how to aim for the head.
Personally, I see the M700, PSG, MSG, and the SL8 as the real sniper rifles, rather than a quickscope cannon. Quickscoping has nothing to do with sniping. The scope is only used to bypass the inaccuracy of a scoped-out sniper rifle, and not actually to aim. And thats why quickscoping wouldn't work with a sniper rifle that isn't a 1-shot-kill to the body, and why not many use it.

It's boring to play with a sniper that everyone has,that's why I'll get a SL8(19 coupons more needed :P ).It's fun to play with.Also the 20/20 ammo is very helpful in tdm/escape.I like weapons that nobody else has.
I won the msg90 on my alt,it's one of my favorite snipers,but the 5 bullets are not enough imo. -

It's seldom to see someone using a PSG, MSG or SL8 in game.
Personally I don't like any sniper which cannot make one hit kill on body.
Does someone really like it? If yes, how do you perform well with it?
aim for the head.
trains you up...you either get a one shot...or you miss the head and risk death... -

No it doesn't. Just hate the thought of the 20 round mag, kinda (to me) sying that it has worse accuracy and you need to shoot more before a hit.
On the other hand, the MSG sounds strong, and with the 5 round mag, you definitely get more hits than with 5 rounds of the SL8. -

I was wrong about the accuracy of the MSG, but I still like the SL8 for some reason. -
The SL8 has the same problem as the VSK-94. Its not a long range sniper, but a mid range semi-automatic assault rifle with a sniper scope. At long range, accuracy goes out the window.
Although do you agree with me, Frecklez, that the MSG90 can be competetive at longer ranges? -

I love people that use the MSG-90 and respect them. For me it's the funnest (?) sniper in the game to use. -

So whenever you outsnipe a quickscoper with a MSG90, prepare yourself for being called a hardscoper noob.
...Hey, I'm mostly a quickscoper, but I don't insult people for hardscoping at all. In fact, I encourage hardscoping if it's common sense, eg (across the map or when the enemy is not looking at you.)
Just PLEASE, for the love of everything, DO NOT STAY STUCK IN SCOPE WITH YOUR BIG ASS ON DISPLAY.
At least camp in a good spot if you're planning on hardscoping. I hate it when my team mates are like. HURP DERP I SHALL STAY IN THIS EXPOSED AREA OF COLUMBIA LOOKING AT THIS PIECE OF WALL.

So, a player that swears by quickscoping with an AWM, and says all other sniper rifles aren't worth using or are only for hardscopers, is a failed sniper, IMO. -
True , doesnt take much skill to quick scope with the awm , try it with the dragunov for example , you have to hit the arget twice ,its good comparison because the draggy is as accurate as the awm
It's a tad off at long distances from what I've heard, but in the cases where that accuracy drops enough its rare that it doesn't really matter. -

Try getting the enemy crouching behind a wooden fence from across the black widow FFA map with the dragunov , if i had AWM they would be dead but it pretty hard

It is possible to hit that in a quickscope, but I would have to practice up on my aiming before I would try to do that. I seldom really snipe anymore and have no ide why. Maybe because I'm making videos. Or am I making an excuse for myself? O.o
