It was found during the glitch that allowed that map to be played for TDM, GM, SND, and EM.
That was about 7 months ago.

maybe them adding it was what made that map playable? maybe adding onto a map sets it back to preset mode or all modes.

Tutorial map was there since I signed up CF on February 2010. It was the first map I played to learn game functions.
May be you confused that map with the shooting range...?
