We don't have always to reply. Often we just gather the info the user posts (if it is coherent) and pass it along the administrators. Most of the times users post their text a non-fluent english and the post can't be quite well understandable. And since the user won't change his grammar skills in one day, we pick up what we think the user is saying and copy it to our private section.

As again, most of the people's issues are due to their computer problems, and since we're not on any geek website there's nothing much we can do.

And sometimes the issue is on the stickied threads, which we most of the times redirect the users to them. Obviously some slightly escape from our hand and are not replied. Sure, I can admit it.

Now let's focus on the problem rather on which section the thread is located, shall we?

Yes, that is exactly the point! You don't HAVE to reply so most of the times the questions go unanswered. I don't have to be a fair player. I can go download hacks and just wall with the rest of them. Why don't I do this? ...because I want to save my integrity and I think think of the bigger picture. The general well being of this game.
So compare it to something you're not obligated to do, such as answering questions in support. Should you do it? Do you care about other people who play this game? Do you care for the well being of the community?

This secrecy thing with the private section needs to be taken out. As a user I would feel more comfortable if I was given updates and information as to how it's going and what more I can do to help.

You don't have to emphasize that you guys have stickies. I have eyes, and by not responding to it the first time meant I acknowledged it.

Lastly...what is there to solve? This thread is likely to die by the end of the day. I'm after the bigger problem.
  • I doubt it is a hardware issue, as i've had the same PC/Parts for over a year now, and this problem has only uncovered itself in the last few months. I think the Halloween patch.

I'm not a paid G4 employee, and if I was, I couldn't reply to every thread that people post. That's the same with every other section. Not every thread needs a moderator/administrator attention. We have a search button. There is a use for it, even for newcomers.

Even though your point is understandable, it's quite impossible to get it done with the current number of moderators. Obviously your first thought will be "Call in more". That's not how it works. There are stages. It is already difficult to moderate 11 moderators, imagine 20 or 30.

Every company has their policies. You don't need to know everything they do. And that's what keeps the game running - company secrecy. When there's something that can be announced, it is immediately.

Just because you have seen the stickies doesn't mean other persons do. And most of the times that's what happens.

What is there to solve? Your and my problem. And as a note, yes this thread is going to die in the end of the day. Good thing there's a copy of it in the Private Section.

    We'll get it done. Hold.
  • Are you trying to say you work for free? With ZERO compensation what-so-ever.

Then my very first point is made very clear. Moving it to tech support did not do anything to help, is it a technical problem? Yes, is it going to receive tech support? Noooooooo.

Moving it to "Cross Fire Technical Support" was not the way to do it.

You should also move over the 4 to 5 loading error threads over here. I'm sure it will discourage those who post it once they see it's in "Cross Fire Technical Support."

    Oh god.

Gonna explain this for the last time.

Is it a technical support thread? Yes.
Is there a technical support section? Yes.
Should a moderator move it to the proper section? Yes.
Has it had any attention? It just did!

And to the other threads. Thanks for the advice!

    Avoided my first question.

Trying to sound tired as if speaking to a child will not deter me. These tactics will not work on a person like me. I'm persistent.

Drama, drama, *Flips hair* OH GOSH.....I'M TIRED OF WRITING....

Is it a technical support thread? Yes.

Is there a technical support section? Technically No.

Is there staff in technical support? No.

Should a moderator move it to the proper section? Yes, if technical support actually gets stuff done. If there is even some freshman from college who is majoring in computer science, I will have thought about looking in here...but no as you said it yourself "we're not on any geek website there's nothing much we can do."

So why on god's green earth did you move it to the so called "Cross Fire Technical Support"?

Has it had any attention? It just did!

Why did it get attention? Cuz, I pointed out how much of failure of a subsection this is and you try to defend that it is doing a fine job with the "STICKIES"x3

    *sigh*

    Oh dear god...

I'm not gonna explain my point again.

    I quit.

I don't have to answer your question.

And yes, I am non-practicing Catholic.

    You already did, thank you.
  • You already did, thank you.

    You're welcome.
  • My thread's been derailed. Please pass this onto people with powers. I'm glad i'm not the only person who has this.

This flash problem doesn't happen on 4 of my OLD laptops. But it happens on my NEW high-end PC.

    !!
  • i believe it is a windows7 issue? it is the only correlation i am finding with all the people that i have asked that have it.

I apologize for taking this thread to the wrong direction. I shall bring it back to the course that was rightfully intended.

fallout51 - Don't think so, I have a friend running this game on vista who also says he has this problem. I'm not so sure if its this exact same thing though, he says he also lags when walking through smoke, but upon hearing the specs and his GPX card I wasn't so sure if it's same thing I'm encountering.
  • Stuff like this people, just pathetic

    the moderator is fighting

this is Cross Fire Technical Support and not to discuss
  • Tl;dr

Get the Tech Support to fix it. No one here has that problem!

Hey guy from the tech support. Give me some of your informational input as to why you think this happens.

I am not "fighting", I am just correcting a fellow Cross Fire player on some of his incoherent arguments.

But yeah sure, drop me any data you can get on this problem.

Quick note: I've updated my NVIDIA graphics card from 290.xx to 295.xx (Still in Beta) and the issue seems to have disappeared. If you are a NVIDIA user then please do the same and see if it worked or not.

    Thank you.
