A MOD answered your "Doubts" by saying he believe it caps at 200 FPS, and several other people have also commented saying they also believe it to be set at a 200 FPS, while it may go above that at times, 200 FPS is all that registers, meaning you stop getting any real bonus to gameplay at 200 FPS.
I believe a MODS knowledge is just as valueable if not more than a GMS knowledge, seeing as how TB know's his stuff. -

As I learned 2 days ago, MODs can be just as clueless as regular players. -

It's actually 120.
