It's implied that if you can't post links to competitors, that you probably shouldn't discuss them either. If you want to be that technical, I'll ask Saidin to specify that you can't talk about them either.

We allow the discussion of other games within certain limits, it's called leniency. There are certain rules that we have to enforce, that are directly related to "competitors". If you want us to start infracting for bringing up any game at all, which is what you are implying by calling Moderators out for discussing other games, I'd be happy to oblige. I'll call a meeting with the other Mods and bring up your complaint and no other game will ever be discussed again, by anyone, without being infracted for such.

Anyone else want that?

Its not free.
Its not an FPS.
it certainly doesnt compete with crossfire or metin 2.

So don't bash mods for it.

Cross Fire Specific Forum Rules:

Please do not ask for or provide links to other regions' Cross Fire games, or of any other competitors games. Please do not post videos or screens from other versions; there is plenty of other topics on these already and new ones will be removed or closed.

That rule enforces posting about other games in a promotional/spam behavior. Posting a screen shot of Skyrim saying, "Look at my new sword", isn't technically promotional or spam. Posting a link to buy Skyrim saying, "Everyone go buy this game right now!", is considered promotional behavior.

Then it is further clarified in CF Specific rules that you should not post links to other games that are considered "competitors", which should clue you in that discussing competing games is probably not allowed.

By you making this thread, you have implied that we should follow the rules to the letter, without an ounce of leniency. The rules stated are enough to figure out that we don't really mind if you talk about Runescape or Skyrim so long as you are not trying to draw people away from the community. Posting about direct competitors in the same genre? That's common sense. Of course the company isn't going to want that. Like I said, you implied that we aren't enforcing the rules correctly right? Would you like us to without any consideration for leniency? Some things are unsaid and implied. You've been around long enough to know that.
