As a culture is founded, xenophobia appears. More in some than in others. It all depends on how it is shaped the vision of a people and how is the economy.
Xenophobia tend to appear in times of crises (economic, social or political, etc.) because it is easier to blame the "other" than look at yourself.
But in a globalized world ,can not exist more isolationist and xenophobic thinking with the risk of an implosion. No nation today is independent and autonomous. We are interdependent. We have to accept that and live with it.
If all "immigrants" leave today's USA, a huge economic and social crisis that would befall the nation. Worse than any enemy (real or imaginary) could do against them. -
