    2. any adult or teenager with a brain that actually cares about the community keeps there creativity to themselves OR wastes time bit ching on forums. If you actually care to improve the competitive community share your thoughts with z8games.

What? So.....you want us to share our thoughts but also keep it to our selves? That's nice.

im saying forums isn't a productive way to get a actual good idea motioned. z8games has a large market share for people who want to play f2p fps games. anything that will increase crossfires value that can be sold to the Dev. team, isn't something you discuss on forums. You simply do what you think is best for everyone and move forward.
The only way a game like this dies is if a new f2p fps game comes out and z8games does zero advertisement to bring in new customers. Even if a " better " game comes out but z8games advertises better, people will stay playing crossfire.

my points are simple Moch, i'm not sure what's irrelevant.

    1. If the community wants to continue getting better at the game simply keep playing. If the competitive community wants to compare itself to a version that's been out longer then great, you have a higher level of standard that you want to achieve but it's going to actually take some practice and dedication if you want to achieve that.

    2. the competitive community is insanely limited to how it can grow simply because of the mechanics of the game. That includes during game play and the UI. My point Moch is you can't really do a thing about the in game mechanics otherwise you risk Fixing something that isn't broken. Crossfire in-game is what it is and tons of people enjoy playing it. The thing's that you actually can improve on to encourage more competitive gameplay are not being improved on.

-we actually have a pretty good replay system
    -clan channel is broken
-clan ranking is broken ( it currently only encourages activity as a good thing )
-the website does a pretty good job advertising competitive events BUT
z8games leaves outside organizations to determine what teams are allowed and able to compete. Yes wogl has wogl open and wogl pro BUT in my opinion the teams that show up in echo 8 are the best in game and thats only because the community encourages it in there own made up channel. So why aren't all those teams in pro ? wogl has it's own agenda so does wcg and it's not to improve the amount of competitive teams in crossfire nor is it to improve the players AND thats the best thing z8games does to encourage fair competitive play? c'mon now think about it Moch

only the good teams and the community can improve competitive play, lifeline set a standard, the team Liebe set a standard, Lpk set a standard. Im sure in the UK seals gaming consensus and r.o.c set a standard. But those teams, lets say 30 players max actually dictate thousands upon thousands of players in-game on how competitive this game can be? Hell no... wogl provided alternatives or a outlet for a set number of people, and that majority seems to be a bunch of immature teenagers with there heads shoved up there asses who migrated to echo-8 and somehow earned the right to " troll " and takeover the competitive forums.

This is wogl's creation and z8games allowed it, so back to my second point Moch, i dont see
    how this is irrelevant.

if wogl allowed every gun in the game to be allowed and every item allowed in there tournament, there rules for competitive play would coincide with z8games rules, which are basically next to none. there are atleast 3 max channels full in clan server and at peek times i see like 6 clan channels full which tells me there are pleanty of people looking to compete. echo 8 can bairly keep full and the teams actually scrimming probably take up less then 15% of the channels capacity. So wogl has done its job creating 1 channel. When esl was around a bunch of br teams and asian teams where sitting in echo 2 looking for scrims as they waited for there matches, that channel was active for quite a long period of time. Uk server has 1 channel that occupies some of there competitive teams which doesnt seem to be alot of teams. Alot of the uk just locate eachother thru xfire but they still have 1 common meeting place. Thats it for our small competitive community.
Now look at how many teams are in clan channel, Tons, willing and able to compete if given the right opportunity. Just how the people in echo 8 where given theirs.

z8games can and should improve some of the fundamentals of what competitive play is and if the community would actually do something rather then complain, you would see alot more alternatives to competitive play and you would see our game crossfire further develop.
  • ijji does a above average job of encouraging competitive play and it shows throughout the A.V.A community. They have a " Practice channel " where you can walk the maps freely and go over strategies and nade spots freely. They also have a interesting replay system to catch people who cheat.

Soldier front handles most of there competitive community and everyone in the forums actually have productive discussions in the apropriate forum threads.

Blackshot has a majority of there channels where you can only enter if you live in a specific region. then1 channel where it doesnt matter what region you are from so everyone can come together if they so choose.
Wether the game is easy or not everyone is able to learn and kill effectively because the interference with ping isn't a major issue.

No other f2p fps game advertises better then combat arms.

americas army allowed mlg to dictate how competitive the game can be, americas army is also now dead.

Project blackout was growing, had 2 fail leagues and now is basically dead.

    OP7
    enemy territory
    TCE

all had nothing built into the game for good competition and are all dead.

Sudden attack- there leagues supported what the developers allowed for competition and the game has had great success

    http://koreangamers.com/2011/08/30/sudden-attack-broke-ccu-record/

    im quoting this article:

It achieved 267,252 CCU last 27th. It was thanks to its two massive updates called Reload adding automatic tournament system and new saving hostage mode which took place in July and August repectively.

    http://suddenattack.gamehi.com/App/ranking/clan_list.aspx?gotoPage=1

that is the link of the top 10 clans in sudden attack, look at the kdr's of the leaders
look at the win/loss ratio of the teams

now go look out crossfires top 10 teams and tell me wich of those teams can compete with sudden attacks top 10. probably none of them because the game promotes competitive play

and I apologize to z8 if i broke any rules i assume speaking about other games is bad BUT i believe there are so many things you can do to improve this game.
We just need every person who plays crossfire that wants to compete apart of what echo 8 players have tried to accomplish.

Hopefully someone sees where im going with this
adding zombie mode and hero mode speak alot about the direction of crossfire NA and what the community has lead the dev team to believe what the community wants in its updates
  • Wow... I'm not even going to bother reading that wall of text.

    Amen.......!!!
  • Sorry, but that's not how it works. Although it sounds pleasing, a league alone can't make an incompetent community competent.

ESEA became successful because it's impeccable anti-cheat that integrates itself into Source, and the fact that the service was started at the right place and at the right time. Nothing can integrate with Crossfire, deeming ESEA useless. At a managing point of view, ESEA is miles ahead of any league this game has ever seen, but ESEA picking up Crossfire will hardly change anything. Putting that aside, competitive e-Sports on the computer is declining.

Have valve take over the programming of crossfire, put in the source engine. Name it " Counter-Strike.jr:Source " problem solved.
