Multitasking shouldn't be a problem, though I couldn't say for sure if rendering would have an adverse affect, it'd depend on your game settings, and the rendering settings.
The 460's emerging as the 'recommended' GPU for some of the modern highly graphical games being released, BF3 for example. I shouldn't see you requiring another just yet, at least.
The i5 2500k Quad is my personal favourite processor, it out-performs that 1090T Hex and then some. If you bought a 2GB 6950 with that, it'd be a pretty damn sexy rig ;D

well, it costs about 1.8gran here :c the dollah is too high D=
and i'm seriously thinking on grabbing some moneh and buy a new motherboard for the i5-2500k... mine's have a crack on it, the damm dog pushed the rig and it fell to the side, the screws were a little too tight and then well. you know x.x
it's still working, but idk, i want to change it, any recommendations? -

also you could just unlock the shaders on the 6950 if you wanted to turn it into a 6970.

I'd recommend anything that isn't an ASUS Maximum. Those things are horrid.
