I'm homeschooled, So I have alot of time on Crossfire, I play during the day and at night. Recently During the day I've been getting less than 20 frames. My normal is 60frames. I have even went as far as Reformatting my computer. Same problem still happens, but when I get on at about 9pm(central) I have 60frames stable? Can someone maybe shed some light for me? Cause I sure am lost.

do you have anything running during the day? such as a conection to a server or such. is your pc part of a pc network? its kindof hard to find the problem when its not your own computer. (as evre1 got diferent stuff runing on their comp.) but a diferent frame rate at diferent times of the day might be caused by an overload of internet conections during that time ( yes, your internet can slow down your pc when overloaded.) do you have anything such as a defraging program running at each day at a set hour?

No, I don't. I also use gamebooster for background processes. It says no one is connected to our internet or wifi isnt "open" its got a pw like this: JHkjsIk533042. lawl. I defrag once a day, But manually. Before I go to bed. I'm just not sure

um thats wierd, do a virus scan, just to be sure, your pc might be a zomby or somthing

it might also simply be that at night time you tend to join rooms with less peoples without noticing, for me i get 25 fps in a 8v8 but a good 40-50 in a 5v5

Well in 5v5 I get 50-60. and 8v8 I get like 20-30. I know its not a virus. Like I said I completely reformatted my computer just for CF(; lol. Still no success. I play on a laptop maybe thats why, Just not money for a desktop yuh know?

oh its normal you have a lower fps in a room with more peoples.

Have you tried turning off the extras like blood and weather effects? That will help you a little bit. Additionally, try turning your resolution down to the lowest setting, that will drastically improve your frames.

Run it in low graphics.
