Recommend me a reliable external hard drive
Soo i finally filled up my samsung story external and am currently looking for a new one. While i have nothing but good things to say about the story I'd like to see everyone's opinions on the best external drive. I'm hoping someone could point me to a reliable hub or dock of some sort that is easily expandable. You know, one of the ones where you can swap hard drives in and out as you need more space. It would be a plus I could pick a hub up as well as two hard drives without completely killing my thai food fund.
Thanks for your time,
Tantoes

That does look nice, but I'm looking less for portability and more for either the ability to swap drives, or 3+ tbs. (I have a lot of movies.) -

(swedish site, info is in english though)
price turns out to around 253$ with 1 1TB hdd, you can of course pop in another drive whenever you feel its necessary.
Not gonna lurk around for an american site, i'm sure you know a few -
I'm just a bit confused as to what a Nas case is... Isn't it for servers? Im afraid that if there is a software side it may not be compatible with macs. (I should have stated at the beginning that my primary machine is a macbook.)
But i'l go do some more research, thanks for the suggestion. -

I am planning to get this soon for my ever growing bluray collection of pristine 1080p goodness. It's a 4-bay enclosure with 3TB HDD support.
If you just want a 2-bay enclosure, this should be a good choice

They are both JBOD enclosures btw.
If you need RAID solutions, you could setup a unraid or flexraid server. They are both pretty easy to set-up.

You're awesome, thanks a bunch. -

I have heard that before
. You are welcome. So which one are you going to buy?
EDIT: One thing to note. The Rosewill 2-bay enclosure does not support 3TB HDDs, only 2TB. So buy your hard-drives accordingly.
