Limit Rage Quits
Everyone has done it at least once. You get annoyed when you die at the beginning of a round and then you quit and rejoin to try to get back into the same round.
Well, I think they should limit the number of times someone can leave and rejoin the same game. It's starting to get ridiculous how certain players will leave and rejoin every time they die.
People talk about the abuse of the vote-kick system a lot but this is also an abuse of the "rejoining system". I honestly can't come up with any scenario where someone would have to leave and rejoin the game more than one time (if even that). Enlighten me please.

Two things: Limit the amount of quit/rejoin and put a 30 second delay between quit and rejoin. I find some players quit because they can then rejoin right away (in one GM game I was in, a GR player pulled out a Golden Gatling, tossed it, quit, rejoined, tossed it, quit, rejoined ... I think for a total of five times in the first 30 seconds). You should only be able to rejoin a TDM once, and modes with rounds twice in a match.
Not that I have the slightest clue how they would manage this. -

Also, I was in that game on the GR side. It was funny for a round or two but then it got pretty flipping annoying. Let's just say, that clan inspired me to make this thread.

I think with SnD and GM, they should spawn the player either at the point of a new round or 5 seconds after the round has started.
Countless times, players been rejoining the same games to get an advantage. It even happened in a scrim in Echo 8 against so-called "wogl players" which proudly I can say my clan STILL beat the teeth out of them.
In any case, it's something that should be patched since this causes a un-known element into the battle... I shouldn't have to detour my route because 4 players decided they're going to spawn late. -
This is actually serious stuff, because this does cause issues. When the ghosts were visible when joining a game, I got called a cheat (and kicked a few times) for just reflexively killing the one I saw. And then you get people who camp at the enemy spawn hoping for someone to start late and get the easy kill. I hate having to start a round all jumpy and paranoid. So your saying that rejoining every time you die is fine?30 second delay is nothing it gives you another kill, what is annoying is being forced out of room by kick vote.
Ofc being kicked is annoying but I'd rather have the kick system than no kick system. That's not the point of this thread, though. -
I like the idea of a delay. Or like Mav said, once a game begins you can't spawn.10 second delay before you can join a game after you leave one?
Or, instead of being able to rejoin if you get in before the 2:00 minute mark make it so you can only get in if you make it before the 2:15 mark or something like that... -
Honestly when people do it once it really doesn't bother me.I like it how it is. Rejoiners are pretty good for my KD
But people will literally do it every time they die. So they get 200hp for each round (if they die early enough in the round). -

Resetting your k/d isn't really the reason some people are doing it.

Then why mention kick voting in your thread? You are saying rejoining is worse than kick vote abuse and I'm telling you rejoining isn't even an issue. -

I didn't say anywhere that rejoining is worse than kick-vote abuse. I said kick-vote abuse was the more discussed subject even though rejoining is also an abuse of the system. -
Personally, I dislike quit penalties, but at the same time, think we need them. :S
As hypocritical as that sounds, imagine you HAVE to get off CF for at least the remainder of the game, or you are needed after joining a 13 round game of GM. Usually, I don't think twice about leaving if I have to, and with the hackers nowadays, I don't enjoy feeding them kills. -

This would be the funniest thing on earth xD a GM room FULL of Golden Gatling guns. But still, that's stupid. -

LoL have a system such as that. I believe that if you leave multiple times you get banned for a small amount of time. It accounts for the fact that you may have to leave midgame.
If you have to go for something such as dinner, you could just let yourself idle out.
IF such a system was to come, obviously it would need to be though about such as hackers ect. -
I don't think that a GP penalty would be a good idea. I think that there should be some sort of time delay where you have to wait for something like 30 seconds before you can join again, don't allow people to spawn after a certain period of time (right now it's the 2:00 minute mark) maybe after the 2:15 minute mark, or only allow people to rejoin the room 3 times or less (or something like that). Maybe even a combination of all of these.

Well, so far, desertions don't really mean much. It's not that much of a penalty (up to this point).'El wrote:[te;2304513']when they leave, they bring a desertion with them therefore I don't see the point of making seconds delay for rejoining a game room.
Clearly the people who are leaving and rejoining games on a regular basis aren't deterred by the desertion penalty. Therefore, it seems that something more need to be done in order to discourage/prohibit it from happening. At least that's my opinion.
