Hackers vs. Legit players

This whole hacking issue is getting way out of hand. G4 please just update the X-trap and get rid of them. My record for being kicked is 34 games in 1 day. its becoming a real problem that needs to be solved. People are starting to not be able to tell the difference( like they ever did before) but its becoming harder for the new players to not kick people causing lack of exp on our part. please make this issue priority in next patch or sooner.

To the thread maker, the speed hacks are being dealt with. Its not like anyones holding out, the developers are looking for a long term fix rather than just patching the hack. If xtrap just kept on patching the hacks, the hack woujld simply get updated and it would be a waste of time...

Rest assured it WILL be patched.

Well thank you lol just been suckish being kicked from every other game. like put a PSA out about what to look for in hackers and real players. like an instructional vid might be cool XD

But wouldn't it make sense to patch an hack even if it does mutate? That's the whole point, you patch - they patch.

And if somewhere in between you can make a permanent fix great.

I just played 2 gm games and both had speed hacks. That was a fast patch and repatch I think. I hope they do do permanant fix. The ping limit servers is good Idea. Good LUck have Fun KIll People.

You guys could easily fix this by allowing dedicated servers, so the server admin can ban those hackers from his server. There are some 3th party global ban lists for css, you could add this to cf. The admin could add those hackers to the ban list and they couldn't join any server using that list.

I had a 3th party anti cheat tool for css, it just forbade any add-ons, custom skins and any access to hl2.exe. Servers using that tool where hack-free.

We need some admin who play in game like normal players.

yea. u guys need a dedicated servers for paid VIP members.
for example $10 for an VIP member fee.
there will be admins on dedicated servers, that bans the hackers..

No dedicgted servers. End of story. It isnt happening. I dont know the real reasons for that but you can think of why it doesnt happen. The overwhelming costs, and not to mention pretty much breaking the whole point of a free to play game and all its functions.

Cost wouldn't be an issue if people are paying and how would it not then be free to play?

Anyone can hop on Alpha shoot up some nubs and play for free still.

Funny everybody says what a lousy game Runescape is but they have f2p and p2p. They have game mods and you see very little hacking or bots. So I just dont understand why a mod comes on says flat out it wont be done. Just seems very closed minded. But thats 1 reason I choose to not buy any more zp. I will just play the free version and let a hack be a hack, pray the nubs who have him on there team will kick him.
