I don't think 0th century exists, that's why the current system exists. year 1 would be the first century.

The 20th century began on the 1st of january in 1901, and ended on 31 december 2000.

About the Muslims: their religion started 622 years after Jesus got born.
So: When it's 2000 for Christians, it's 1378 for Muslims.
