Gun Collector ribbon

By anychance someone knws for the Ribbon Gun collector, where u need 25perm guns, Can u keep buying same weapons over and over again? Like 10pistoles to count as a new gun?

The limit for buying GP guns is 6 of the same. So you could get 6 M9's, 6 others etc, and they count as seperate weapons.

Remember though the M16, M700, melee weapons and throwing items do not count.

Actually I'm not sure about that.

This following link says:

The Gun Collection ribbons now count the following: All Permanent Weapons, Except Grenades, the starting knife and your starting weapons (m16 and m700)

So maybe the perm axe does count, can anyone confirm this?

Edit: Although there is also this which is regarding the gun hobbyist ribbon but I would assume also applies to the gun collector.

The "Gun Hobbyist" Ribbon is going to be a progressive achievement. Later you will get more ribbons for having more permanent weapons. But this time only weapons you OWN (guns) and not melee weapons will count. These details have slightly changed. Please see new FAQ answer following this Q.

The Permenant Axe DOES count, as it is the only other permanent melee weapon ingame.

And as CyberCat says, each INDIVIDUAL PERMANENT weapon is counted,

EXCEPT (meaning NOT COUNTED) starting weapon M16, starting weapon M700, starting melee weapon Knife, and ALL Grenades
