nope i don't follow what the pope tells me in fact i'm not even catholic? where's your "fact" now
the pope part was an example, still you have to agree that a strong religious person, lets say for example a muslim, is very very likelly to follow exactly what the kuran says, they even kill in the name of the kuran -

there is plenty of information in science that is just theoretical and not fact, and in many ways a religious book may be fact to one person and not to other, you are just closed minded, you have to see everything from every perspective, or else you can't pass judgement and deem something to what you believe it is from only your perspective -

believing that the religious book is fact is being closed minded.
Being open minded, is accepting others views and realizing that the book may be wrong. -

im saying other people do the same you can't just say that what you believe in is the only thing that is true -
Very true, however;im saying other people do the same you can't just say that what you believe in is the only thing that is true
there's a difference between fact and opinion.
Science, although a theory, is more widely accepted then religion in the 21st century. We all learn the same stuff.
Religion is divided among the people.
With this, which seems more like a fact; and which seems more like an opinion? -
Not decided yet/American/Asian
Abortion is wrong.
A baby is still a baby even at embryo stage, because the moment the zygote is formed, the gender is decided. And a human is conceived.
If the mother will die because of the baby, and there is no hope of saving the baby, then go figure.
Even in **** cases, i don't think anyone should just shove the blame onto the the least defendable person (the baby) and kill it. I look at it this way, if humans reproduced by splitting yet still required coitus, would still kill the person?
That's my view on abortion. -
This is a double edged sword, I could say the same thing about today's science textbooks.Actually,
believing that the religious book is fact is being closed minded.
Being open minded, is accepting others views and realizing that the book may be wrong.
And both can be proven (which one has proof of being a fact, as people are not actually fighting over different evidence, just the same evidence but different views on what it means to them.) -

I believe abortion should be allowed.
And just to point out, if men were the ones who gave birth there wouldn't be any controversy about it.
If men were the ones that gave birth, civilization would've died out a long time ago. The first man would've given birth and been like "Heck no. Not doing that again." -
Says you. Just as many men who want to keep their baby as the women, they're unheard of because if people heard that men ACTUALLY care about raising families, then abortion clinics would have to find 2ndary jobs.I believe abortion should be allowed.

I find it interesting how people think that men don't care about children, stereotyping is not a reliable way to conduct ones decisions. -

Not saying men don't care about children/families or "values". I'm saying if the childbirth role were reversed, the choice of abortion would be there. -
Abortion will always be there as long as there are uncaring people in the world. Doesn't matter who carries the child, as long as some one thinks that they can't shoulder the responsibly of having coitus and gettting pregnant, there will always be abortion. Not saying men don't care about children/families or "values". I'd find it strange though, if men did carry children, not just because it looks strange physically, but the emotional part would probably kill them before they had the baby (unexpected pregnancy). I envy the way that most women can just open up anywhere to relive their problems, or just talk and get lots of weight off their shoulders. -
virus that cause that kind of letal infections dont attack dead organic matter like bones of dead people, scientists take that into consideration dont you think? they know better then any of us which virus can be transmited through air and the ground
this conversation has been going on for evr (dont believe me check the 11 pgs)
Do the smart thing go open cf and play each other and kill each other it makes things better trust me i know...
11 pgs wow
oops there are 18 pgs srry

uncaring people? why uncaring? ill say it has long has it takes for you people to stick it in ur head, EMBRYOS ARE NOT HUMANS, ABORTION IS NOT MURDER, abortion is usefull and until we find a better way it will keep on existing
abortion should be a free choise made by the mother, not by religious nutjobs, like dot stated and well, that think killing an embryo is taking a life, its like i said, if god made it all living beings equal, then why is killin an embryo murder, and hunting for sports isnt? -
I'm sorry, I'm gonna have to go against myself here, some people are just too fcking stupid.
No, its not a baby as soon as its conceived.
It becomes a fetus after 8 weeks of impregnation, before that, its an embryo.
Does this look like a baby?
Its just cells dividing and connecting and multiplying.
The least one can ask for before calling something human, is human thoughts.
This embryo has reflexes, it doesn't think.
Abortion removes the chance for these cells to split in to something which will hopefully become human. It isn't a human.
And if the woman isn't given the choice, the embryo will not lead a human life, and it'll wreck the life of the woman.
Argue religion as a standpoint against abortion. Your choice.
Don't drag science it to it, because you're wrong and your morals are twisted.
I never wanted to again be involved, I was told not to............. ergo..
@Duke; This isn't a discussion thread. You've made your point clear.
Attempts to instigate will not be overlooked.
But does this mean my point is mute?
Does this mean I may not post my arguement for fear of banishment from this sacred thread?
I am dead inside:(
Thank the lord I could not concieve what i may have become..
DER BAN IMMINENT!

Are you seriously comparing the spark of humanity with a Fox?
I am dis-allusioned with your focus, I am saddened by your input. I know I shall be bullied into submission by the MOD GODS! But people can you not feel your soul? Can you not equate with the essence of your humanity?
PS. You will take the RULE. BANG BANG! EMBRYOS ARE NOT HUMAN!
NOT ONE BIT! -

spark of humanity? we may have intelligence but we are idiots, all we did was ruin the planet, we self destroy, a fox is a living being and it has the same rights to live as u and i do, i keep my position, if killing an embryo is murder than killing an animal if not for survival is to... -

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So who can draw the line

ME? -

i dont think anyone of us has the ability to draw a line, but there is no god here to draw the line for us so we need to do it, abortion is requiered in certain cases, and even if it isnt legal people will only do it with the wrong conditions putting themselfs in danger -

Twas never about a GOD being here to tell us the rule. It is about the availabilty of choice with the End being the best result. In the 21st Century you can fail in your judgement and still be vindicated by the LAW! Or if you have had the unfairness of abuse you can eradicate the result with the Truth of LAW!
The arguement is this, which LAW do we accept. And where does this LAW stand.
My arguement is that this is moral LAW and the Arguement returns to the "Spark" of Life and whence does Life be Life?
