Waving mouse in CF
hi @ all
so i got a big problem since i changed the polling rate , i tried 250,500,1000 but i think i destroyed something. The mouse cursor was moving in waves in windows and ingame. Tried default rate but didn`t help. After i reinstalled windows xp it was gone in Windows , but it still waves a bit in CF not as much as before but it kills my aim. Could it be that i killed my usb hub? Dont want to buy a new motherboard if there is a simple fix.
I used a mx518 and now a half broken Intelli 1.1 , will get a mx518 again in some weeks so i was hoping i could fix it till it arrives. thx for the help

Usually your USB ports will be controlled by a generic/independent host, such as Texas Instruments.
Try downloading the relevant host's latest drivers.
On a side note, where there any major changes to your system (crashes, hardware faults, etc) that you can recall before this started happening? -

Go to your Control Panel > Device Manager, then go down to IEEE #### Bus Host Controllers, it should state underneath that the manufacturers name. Look for their latest relevant drivers.
If updating those drivers fail, go back to Device Manager, and go down to Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
Usually your CPU will have control over this, if you're Intel (e.g. ICH9 Family), this is fairly easy to update from their Download Center.
The reason I asked about any system crashes was due to, for example, if you're playing a game which locks the cursor to the centre of the screen (e.g. CoD), a sudden power cut or shut down can cause the temporary mouse drivers to malfunction the Windows mouse drivers, and USB ports can in turn, fault too.
