Events?
I don't know when they first posted up the info about the pistol week, but I don't get to play every day, so id like to ask why can you not let us know 1 week before a event startslike in an IG message. I just found out about pistol week today, one day late?
A heads up a week in advance would be nice so wee can try to make time to participate. A day late blew my chance to get the ribbon, the one i needed to get my 20!

Ok, so for those of use that have a life and jobs and stuff, can we run an IG message or something, cause not all of us live our lives on the forums.
It's not hard to sit down and spend 4 minutes reading an informative thread. How would running an in-game message be any different? You're too busy with your life and job to pay attention. Things come as a surprise in life. You aren't going to get a warning that a friend or family is going to die. It's just something that you have to try to get yourself. Sure, spending a life on the forums isn't the lime-life, but if you want to stay up to date, you should read or browse over the forums every now and then. -

Ok dude i don't know who the phuck you are, but your reading in to this way to much. I'm a full time Med student with a job and kids, DO YOU REALLY THINK I HAVE TIME TO BE ON HERE EVERY DAM DAY! It was just a suggestion to help out the players that have lives that don't revolve around forums and sh!t.

Then don't complain when you think that things aren't told to you in advance. In the medical business [my family is all into medical practices and such] things pop up that you just can't prep for. You can get a serious bullet wound in the stomach which requires surgery to remove the bullet one minute, walk out, and be greeted by a 5 year old kid who merely swallowed a penny. It's just a matter of what you do when you find out. You either move on, help the kid, and thank God that there isn't another person with a bullet in their stomach or you can whine about the fact that you got a little kid with a minor problem.
EDIT: I don't mean to be mean, it's just that I'm having a somewhat rough day [I sat through the most boring lab today, and I ended up getting in trouble for "not doing the lab" while I already knew the solution and why it happened]. -

join a clan with vent and just go on everyday and chat with them for news while playing, lol thats what I do XD. Or just read the cf homepage for news, they usually post the ribbon stuff on the sliders.
that would be nice i just don't have time to do that, sometimes I'm lucky to get on more than twice a week or so. I try to get on to play a few match real quick but I'm lucky if i get that, A clan with Vent would be nice. -

There are only a couple of seconds you need to get up-to-date on the z8-site.

I go IG as much as i can, But i don't have time to waist going into forums with all these kids. What little free time i have i spend IG. So i simply said for those of us that do not have time to be in forums much, why not have a IG message to let us know about Events. Its as simple as that.

OT: i think there is no point of having the notifications in game. I think they post the events in the Announcement when you launch CF.

Look the forums work in a simple way, someone posts a topic and others post about that topic. You don't have to like the person, just stick to what the topic is post on it or don't say anything at all. So why is it so hard to do that?

You'd be surprised on how mature kids are compared to you.
OT: They said something about there being a pistol week, but they didn't say what would be in it until like the day before. Everything is mentioned in the launcher, but it really wasn't mentioned on the day of. Seriously though, CrossFire is addicting because it's "awards" are offered to people who play like 24/7. I really dislike how in order to get extra items and stuff, you need to be really active. This is by no means a casual game if you want to play it to its full potential. -

It's like real life, if somebody says a topic, chances are that topic will change as people discuss more and more. Also, a lot of things you say on the forums can get you infracted.
You were trolling SirHi, and I think it was wrong of me to just sit there and watch the trolling continue. Witnessing a crime and not doing anything about it is just as bad as committing it. No, you didn't commit any crime, but this applies to generally every bad thing out there.
You're right, the majority of CF players don't go on the forums, which was why the Military Intelligence ribbon came into existence (and then got taken away). There IS an IG message, it's on the launcher, except it gives no warning whatsoever and only gives the current details and stuff. This was actually the reason I missed Sniper Week (that and I didn't have a sniper rifle then), so I do agree with you there, but Z8 doesn't care about us, they don't care about our suggestions. -

Simply because it's a newsletter, not an announcement. Evidently, you don't know the difference between a handmade community newsletter [Urban Warfare by Saidin] and a professional official announcement like those in the Announcement forums.
If it were an announcement, it would have been IG, but it's just a hint given to those who give a second of their life to merely read a few paragraphs written by the game manager.
It's not official, it was a hint from a source from inside the game.
