We've never really talked about any specific ones, which one of these would you suggest Charlie?
edit: lol im on my alt.
edit2: LG- out of stock, Asus- out of stock, Planar- never heard of it, Benq- out of stock.
How come the acer and especially the viewsonic are so much cheaper compared to the one by alienware or benq? -

I have the acer, and I messed it up trying to edit the EDID to get custom resolutions. Before I messed with it, the monitor worked flawlessly.
If you have an ATI card you will run into problems getting alot of these monitors to do 120Hz w/ Black Bars for 4:3 resolutions.
There is also an issue since the monitors are 16:9 they don't display crossfire's widescreen resolutions properly (1440 x 900 is a 16:10 aspect ratio).
These 2 issues aside, it really comes down to price. I used the www.digitalversus.com website along with the [H]ard forums to make my decision.

Digital Versus is an european website, so some of the model numbers are different.
Depending on your graphics card's power, the viewsonic might be best. As 1920x1080 can be a bit strenuous to push at high detail high fps.
It's the cheapest and runs at the 1680 x 1050 resolution, which is the same aspect ratio as crossfire.

Personally I am switching to windows 7 and ordering a Nvidia 560Ti when my winnings for a recent lan come in. This will be able to power my acer at 120hz and possibly 3d (if i find a vision kit cheap).
Nvidia cards don't have the issues with having to make custom resolutions. That's an AMD-ATI problem only. -
Wow.....ALL those monitors you linked are out of stock, except the viewsonic and the worse brands. And I wouldn't touch an acer or a dell. All the GOOD ones are out of stock, and the viewsonic doesn't even have an OSD on it. The VS is the "worst" of the good monitors...no wonder it's in stock

There reason they all look out of stock is i just did a google search and grabbed the first link.
I am sure you can find some stores that still have them in stock. -
ASUS VG236HE 23" Widescreen LCD 3D monitor.
Absolute beast of a monitor, obviously you might not need 3D just yet, but it's fairly future proof.
EDIT: Just saw Doop put up the same link.Monitor doesn't matter.
Get a good graphic card and you're hooked up.
I hate when downies comment.... -

i have the samsung Samsung 2233rz , but u shouldn't focus on 120 hZ , 100 is already enough
and if u find a decent monitor make sure it got 2-3 ms respond
Syncmaster's are arguably the top in terms of response times, in both color & greyscale.
Decent price too. I still prefer the ASUS.ps: in intel exetreme master europe they used the ASUS VH226
ASUS more than likely 'rented' them out to Intel, they did the same for a company who hosted in my hometown. -

I have a Deathadder and a Habu sitting in the cupboard, not a huge fan to say the least
I have a Xai which I can't even use until I do a recovery on my OS (driver malfunction)
Right now I'm having to use some cheap $5 driver-generic mouse. -

Mice are all about how well they fit you. As long as the mouse you have is a gaming one you are good to go. -

Agreed, the Xai isn't exactly ergonomic, since it's designed for right and left-handers, but it's still feels real comfortable.
The DeathAdder fits my hand perfectly, most ergonomic mouse I've ever used, along with the SS Ikari. -

Thought about that mouse too.
But the only reason I don't want the DA is because I want a tad smaller mouse. And a bit lighter. -
Laser I'm hoping.

Xai's laser, Ikari's come in both laser and optical. The laser version uses the same firmware as the Xai, so dpi and polling rate can be adjusted in increments of 1. Perfect for getting the most of of games like CF, which can't handle higher poll rates.
The Xai weighs next to nothing, and the feet are huge, glides well on a QcK+
The Ikari's a little heavier, but no where near the DA or Habu. -

Ikari or xai would you say?
I got to use an Ikari laser quite extensively in CoD4, and it was precise, fast, still gripped well after a good few hours in my hand, and the LED firmware made adjusting between rounds/guns alot easier, rather than tabbing out. But I'm yet to try out my Xai on either CS:S or CF, or any game in fact, so I couldn't make that call.
If you're willing to wait, I should have my OS restored by Tuesday, I could let you know of the comparisons by then. -

On a sidenote: Death adder has a horrible cheap braded cord.
