Go Up and Down Ladders Very Slow

Whenever I go up or down a ladder, its as if im crouching and shifting walking. Sometimes even slower. (Depending on the place)

My screen is set to 1920x1080 and my Crossfire Graphics are as high as it goes.

I tried reinstalling, but it didnt help.

Any suggestions?

I think, it's your position how you start climbing the ladders.

If you run and start climbing the ladder, you climb it in a normal speed.

If you walk/crouch and start climbling it, yeah, it will be slower.

Its nothing to do with CF not installing properly or GPU or resolution.

Like you said, "Depending on places", its exactly "Depending how you start climbing ladders"...

But, its a lot slower than usual. It doesnt matter how I try to go up and down a ladder. I watch people climb up and they do it quickly. Even with a knife, it goes slower than it should with a gun.

i think it's affected by "set up/defuse package". I have the same problem too. I believe that's error.... When I use a new acc to play, I move fast as before. And when I use my another acc which has a lot stuffs is slow as ****. It's like lagged in the ladder. Hope GMs can fix this problem . THanks~

I have the exact some problem. I tried with others, i go much slower. I'm doing what they do, hold W. Help please

Depends on the operating system architecture, I run it on Windows XP 32bit and ladders fast as normal, run it on my alternate operating system Windows 7 64bit and it's slow.

Same account, same resolution.

Not quite sure why it's different.

I run on Xp/32 bit, but i have the issue. Man this really needs to be looked at. I'll try sending in a ticket.

You go up and down ladders slowly because unless you want to trip, fall and kill yourself, it's best to not complain. If you don't mind running down it full speed into the floor head first, you're a sick person.

I actually did some testing with it.
It appears to be that higher FPS players climb ladders slower.
Lower FPS players climb ladders faster.

2 players in my clan have 150-200+ FPS and they say they climb ladders slow.
Few of us 30-60 FPS players climb them fast.
I dunno, that's what I saw.

Hmm, interesting. I guess I am in the high fps category and I climb slow. I'll try it with a friend who also has high fps. Will get back to you guys soon.

Here's a trick when you go up or down of a ladder, hold down the TAB (scoreboard button) and its gonna be faster. Don't ask me why but it actually work lol

Well... i found the problem.. i ushally have 225 fps in crossfire..

So i walk up the a ladder in any map.. and i go up it very slow...

So i turn on my fraps... and put it on 25 fps.. so i will have low fps..

Next thing i know i go Super fast up the ladder...

LOL i sent in a ticket and got deferred to the forums, i too have ~200 fps and climb ladders like i don't have a left leg, anyone have a solution besides compromising the fps?

Lmfao, i run at 100-200 fps. SUPER SLOW up the ladder. Its deff a fps problem. Becuz i got a new comp last week. The old comp ran at 30-50, and i ran up those like a charm.

just got a new computer today

got like 150fps and its freaking slow

with my old comp i had like 50 and i rushed up pretty fast

Same problem here lol my moms laptop is win 7 64 bit and 4 gb and my laptop is 2gb and runs 30-50 fps and my moms 64 around 100-200 same as that dude and here on my mom i walk like a snail on ladders so fkin gm's look at this lol btw on my latpop i walk so fast up

Well it's now 2012 and this problem is STILL occurring. I run at ~250 fps and I can't climb ladders for ****.
It has become a real nuisance when trying to get out of a major firefight.
Fix this ffs.
