The FPS increase explained

I don't see any difference either on my dual core.
Windows 7 32 Ultimate still averages about 30 fps, down from around 50 a few patches back.
Windows XP Pro on the same system (dual boot) gets around 80 fps average, also down from around 120 a few patches back.
And I must say I'm a little surprised that changing a font can make much of a difference to a 3D game? -

Rofl .
Sounds technical, cyber is the techy beast. -

What CPU and OS do you have?CyberCatUK wrote: »I don't see any difference either on my dual core.

i use a quad core (no ubermachine though) and gameplay feels alot better/smoother.
like, more shots seem to register and most of the times it feels just right, even when my ping jumps to 70 sometimes. way better than before. no exact numbers at this point though.
grats on the 1K x) -

I got higher FPS, but I can barely play due to my ping spiking to 200 all the time. Seems like I'm the only one with worse reg after the patch. -
If your fps has dramaticly decreased I'm sorry to tell you you probably have fked up your pc by installin' **** load of crap.
Now you have 2 solutions (the first being the best):
-You have your OS CD and can totally reset your pc. After that and cleaning your pc (inside the case: fans...) everything should be as the day you bought it.
-If you've lost the CD or if none was contained in your PC's box (for pre-builts, others normally have kept their OS CD) you can download these: Ccleaner, Malwarebytes. Use both malwarebystes will get rid of all those malicious things you've gathered over time and Ccleaner will fix your registry and get rid of useless things which take place and/or slow down your pc.
@Megalodon: I'm surprised this thread hasn't gone far or even been visited by Saidin (maybe it has but he hasn't been helpin' us).
Don't bother askin' their CPU, you would be amazed by the number of gamers which don't no anything about PCs. Plus I posted on first page, it was the first comment, that people had to post their CPU and fps increase.
You already up? On.your way to school or at school? -

I guess you're right
I usually get up at around 6, with school starting at 8. But today we start 9.30 and my mum will drive me (yay) so I got up at 7. I also have to take a bus that leaves 7/8:20 -

Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) 2 Duo T6400 @ 2.00GHz, L2 cache, 4G RAM, Mobile Intel (R)4 Series Express Chipset Family (graphics card).
OS is windows 7 home, 64bit.
After some researching online, it seems win7 messed up with the DirectX 11 and give lower fps than XP systems. The only way to get more FPS is to change DirectX 11 to DirectX 9.. which I don't know how to do and didn't find any good solutions online.
