Anyone getting a major increase of FPS since the patch? It's wonderful! XD Now I get 50 FPS even in smoke, and >100 FPS has become my new average
I don't know what they tweaked, but it sure helps a lot ^_^
I'm not sure either, but CF is running on 2 cores now, it ran on 1 before. It might be that. -

Actually, different fonts CAN use more/less processor. It would be a minute change but it can make a difference. If CF is running on 2 cores now, that's exactly the reason why.
Btw, how can you tell it's running on 2 cores if you don't mind me asking? -

I've always wondered why it didn't run on multiple cores. I was almost considering altering an .ini file if there was one. -

Well, I have a 2 core (My new cpu is being shipped on monday hopefully) and before CF used 50% on the CPU. Now it uses ~80% when ingame. I'm not actually sure, but I doubt it can run more than the capacity of one core, on one core.

I had it too
My fps now is at least 190-260
I think its because the letters graphics got worst

ikr on my gaming desktop im running about 400 fps at most
the way it should be...
used to run 100 fps on crossfire and on AVA 200 fps straight on maximum settings for graphics -

thats why my bro's netbook, single core, seems smoother but fps hasn't changed.
But now crossfire runs on all the cores of your cpu. Which explains why my bro's fps hasn't increased and why some people have increased by 100s.
My cpu is an i7-860. So if you guessed right I'm gonna get a huge increase o_O.
Can't wait tomorow evening to find out.
