A "Hardcore" mode.

Increased bullet damage, no health bar visible, no map. and No chat after your dead. The real way SnD should be played. And no Killmarks.

Only your trusty mouse and keybourd + headphones + gun + sidearm + knife.

What do you guys think?

Edit: No Mag and Ammo count as well....

  • I always prefer this option on CoD4, so why not.

  • This isn't CoD or Battlefield. This isn't the type of game that could properly handle a hardcore mode.
  • no mag and ammo count as well :3
    would be pretty epic xD

    Why not?

People already 1shot like crazy... I 1-shot like crazy... People already depend on sound to preshoot... I do that also.....

Hardcore mode will just make the game more intense, and Radio messages will actually be usefull, not just a bunch of idiots Spamming the "Roger" or "Negative" over and over again. Things such as text Communication will be useful because people wont be able to see where their teammates are. Moreover, Peoepl will tend to stick as a Team instead of being a Lone wolf. There will actually be strategys involved instead of waiting til you hear a sound and popping out to shoot them.

That way people conserve ammo... not just spray like a lunatic.

When someone can pretty much already see from one corner of the map to the other, it's quite pointless.
It won't change the way people play either.
This is about as crazy as someone asking for a hardcore mode in quake (oh man that would be hilarious)

IDK what quake is but I disagree.... Look at the majority of the SnD maps, ex: Mine. You cant see each other instantly, and the game will be based on teamwork more than anything. Also, sniping will Actually be Sniping, Shooting will actually be Shooting. Snipers will have a more realisitic role of covering areas from vantage points instead of quick scoping everything.

    1. Go get educated on games. How the hell have you not heard of Quake?

    2. Crossfire isn't meant to be a realistic game, and the maps are too small to handle a hardcore mode. Mine is one of the rare examples where you aren't seeing half the map at one time.

    That's true

    We don't have big maps
    So -1 from me

Warning: The following has intense sarcasm, read at your own risk. It is incomplete, btw.
Hardcore mode in Call of Duty 4? You mean a game where your health regenerates, you can tank most guns easily if the enemy is a n00b and doesn't aim for the chest, you can die with a single M82A1 shot in the foot (unlike the AWM), you don't have hackers with aimbot in every other server, you can easily kill any play in the game if you simply aim, you don't have laggers who shoot you around walls (most of the time), you don't have ******s using Scar Light guns (i.e. Scorpions) in freaking clan scrimmages, you don't have to worry about BR's killing ya for getting a kill streak cause it's bloody easy to kill someone, you have dedicated admins for most servers who police the rooms, you don't have to worry about spending more then $50 on the game, you CAN shoot through walls and not be considered a hacker, you can place ping limits on the server so you don't have idiots coming in ******ing everything up...
Yea, let's get a hardcore mode in Crossfire. We'll call it Rage Mode.
Wait. We already have that mode. It's known as Ghost Mode.

CoD 4 Barrett .50 cal doesn't kill always 1 shot

But thinking CoD is really unrealistic don't mention it

Downtown is definitely not a big map. You can see an entire half of the map at any given time.

ur right take and awm and go either a or b u can see acroos the map:rolleyes:
  • So a mode where random sprayers get easy kills and aiming for the head is unimportant?

    No thanks.

It's merely a mode addition, if you don't like it, don't play it, simple, no?

Don't get your panties in a twist next time, presuming everyone's going to live with your ideologies.

I'm not sure about the increased bullet damage, but the no health bar, map, or mag and ammo count and no kill marks would be pretty intense. I say +1

Umm hello... Desert Storm, Castle, Santoria, Sub Base, Mexico? All huge maps with lots of hiding spots.

Because making this mode would take up resources that could be spent on stuff that's actually useful.

That's never been a consideration in the past. Mutation Mode for example.

Why break the habit of a lifetime?

This is not for CrossFire. -1.

This game could handle a hardcore mode. No one, If any, uses the Map on the top left on your HUD screen. I'm sure people do pay attention to the amount of bullets on your magazine, but that shouldn't matter too much when most people do reload after they kill someone.

The GUI for the crosshair should be pretty easy to remove if anything. It's either a circle or a couple of lines.
  • Yeah, let's get this stupid mode. Because we won't get it for another 2-3 years and this game won't survive that long. I mean come on now....really?
