Selling/Auctioning ZP/GP crate weapons

Okay, I've suggested this before..

As I said in the previous thread, my Kriss Super-V and my Thompson do nothing but collect digital dust in my inventory. Now I know people like having these guns because, "They're rare, and to collect."

I don't like them. I want to be rid of them. I suggested a selling option and everyone said no. "If someone hacks your account you still have all your Crate weapons if they sold all your guns!"

Here is my revision to that. Make selling Crate weapons an option only available on the Z8 site itself. And also requiring your Security Question to sell them. An inventory option would be placed your personal profile that would only show your crate weapons. From here you can click to sell them. GP crate weapons could go for 5-10K ZP. Or maybe 25-50K GP. ZP crate weapons could be sold for 10-25K ZP. Or maybe 50-75K GP.

Some people brought up the question, "What if you only spend 1K ZP/2K GP and got lucky with the first crate?"

That's where luck comes in. You could get really lucky and win the crate in 1K ZP, and get a huge return for it if you decide later on to sell it. Same goes with the GP crates. You get lucky, you can resell it for a nice return.

As for the auction part.. I know several people in my clan who wish for the Kriss Super-V. I don't like wasting my bags so they can swap me something for it. For this, I suggest an auction house. Available, as with the selling option, only on the Z8 site. Next to the sell button would be an "Auction" button. You would enter the minimum bid, and then set the time you want it to be up for. 24 Hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, or 7 days. At the end of the time period the weapon would be removed from your inventory, and placed into theres. The amount of ZP that was bid would then be deposited directly from there account into yours.

To prevent people selling broken guns thus scamming, and from using the ZP before it could be given to the person who's weapon you're bidding on.. The ZP would be removed from there account upon submitting the bid. It would be held on the Z8 servers until someone outbids them. When someone outbids them the ZP would be placed onto there account again, where they can either rebid it, or use it on something else. Also a gun with any damage done to it could not be placed to bid. And upon being placed it would be put on lock down in the person inventory. It could not be placed into a bag, thus cannot be damaged by use. Either that or the weapon could be removed from the players inventory and placed into the servers and remain there until the transaction was completed.

  • The auctioning is good in theory, but it would take a lot of work to be put into the game, which could be better spent creating new content, at least in my opinion. Then there's also people that would abuse an auctioning system by making multiple accounts, buying GP crates until they won, then selling it cheap to their main account. Also, it would take the luck factor out of the black market: If you win say, a Gatling Gun, it's something rare that not everyone can get. Knowing that even someone that spends hundreds of thousands of ZP might still not win it makes it even more awesome to have. It also makes finally winning it after 'x' amount of crates even more satisfying.

As for being able to sell crate guns, it would be a nice option, but I still think that not having to worry about losing your 100 dollar ZP gun if you're account gets hacked isn't worth giving up. Even with precautions, knowing that if someone hacks your account you're favorite gun will still be there is somewhat comforting. Even with duplicate guns, you never know if someone spent a lot of money to get a Deagle-C for each bag. I'm going to have to say no to both of these ideas.

Also, before anyone tells me that my opinion is wrong or biased since I don't have any unused crate guns to sell, know this: I have both a Tommy that I won while going for the Winchester that I'd gladly part with, as well as a second MSG-90 from the free sniper week crates. Even if I could get 200k GP back by selling them, I wouldn't still want to risk losing my other guns if I ever got hacked.
  • well i don't like trash items on my storage too... especially day left guns. would delete it 4 free. but there are still more important thing to do than dust-gun issue.

    Only RET4RDS got hacked!

    Nuff Said!

Still wouldn't want to risk it, SH1T H4PP3NS to everyone.
  • Just break your guns and you will get gp for breaking them.

This system is made for more than just earning GP. It's made so that others who don't always buy ZP, can have the experience of owning a ZP gun.

Way to long for me to read, but i'm sure it's a good idea

    And lol.. ._.
