Get good come to pug vents get people to know you.
Rifle the easiest path, but sniping is epic and you can get some fresh fragz.
Make sure you have a secondary recommended desert eagle.
Learn some cf nerd slang.
Don't play in rookie. -

Really the best advice I can give you to be good is this- aim for the head and burst fire. In games like COD, 2-3 shots to the chest with most guns and your opponent is down. It also takes 2 shots to the head with the same gun. In Crossfire, it's usually 4+ hits to the body, and the guns have RECOIL so you can't just spray. However, most guns are 1 hit kills to the head unless you're long range, making not only aiming but also controlling your shots necessary to do good. The best gun I can suggest is either a K-2 or M4 assault rifle to start out, they both are great guns and really 'train' you to get headshots. The best advice I can give for you to generally have a good time is as follows-
DON'T be rude to other people
DON'T accuse people of hacking unless it's blatantly obvious (1 hit kill non headshot multiple times, doing 360s and getting 5 headshots a second, killing with knifes from across the map, ect.)
DON'T glitch, hack, or otherwise ruin the game for other people
DON'T get discouraged if someone keeps killing you, just try to avoid them for the rest of the game or change rooms
DO tell someone "ns" (nice shot) if they bagged a nice headshot, it will not only make their day but they'll usually be nice to you back.
DO play for fun, being seriously competitive over every game ruins the experience.
DO try out other people guns, use the guns you like, and play the modes you like. I personally am a big MM fan but I hate competitive SnD.
DO ignore your K/D. No one cares, just play the game for fun.
And lastly, if you play the game for a while and you still like it, support the people who keep the game up and running by buying $10 worth of ZP. Not only will it get you a new gun or two, but it helps keep this free game alive with new content and running servers. -

I usually hate when people pick up my gun after I've died. I find it sort of disrespectful. Ask first imo.
