Hehe 1043 version ftw? XD hahaha I haven't reinstalled the game in months

... I have a problem but im using the 1043 v so :P hopefully it works i already uninstalled CF

installing right now almost done... omg its done.. wow soo embarrsing cross fire patcher v3 soo old... and embarrasing XD... but it works!

Omfg, I have htiss error too, for all of you guys saying reinstall cf.. IT DOES NOT WORK. Every time it starts off really fast and then "failed to download patch file". This is obvioulsy happening to everyone who tried to reinstall crossfire instead of just patching, so it must me an issue with z8 games..

wow must be nice i've been trying since 5am EST time to download the patch and it won't do it.i got to step 3 out of 10 and the patch stalled 25% in, closed it, reran it and got to 50% and stalled, did the same thing got to 75% it stalled. got up to step 5/10 same stalling issues, got up to 8/10 and about every 25% the patch stalls out. it's now 2:50pm EST and i'm stalled out at or was "downloading 1051 (8/10) 5.50mb/9.90mb waiting...... there's not even action in the progress or total bars. i this update is horrible cuz it's taking way too long and the server keeps stalling out. i know it's not my computer cuz it's fine.

This is so BS-.- I cant play cf, its been patching itself for hours, only to be told that I failed to download patch file, try a few more times, reinstall, and restart the whole cf, I doubt z8 plans to fix this, so were screwed..

I'm having the same problem. I tried uninstalling and re-installing CrossFire. It still doesn't work. I downloaded another CF.exe (even though it took an hour since it wasn't a server that was close to me). It still doesn't work. Should I just keep trying?

Edit: I played the game earlier today. I just reinstalled CF so I could get the original killmarks back instead of the custom ones. Since I reinstalled, it hasn't been working :-|

Edit2: It finally worked. I kept reinstalling from different hosts. The .exe file that worked for me came from brothersoft.

ok im new here but i have the same problem but the patch downloads it just stops i hit play online about 6-7 times any it finnally installed hope this helps.

Lads it's my first time here...and as i can see i have the similar problem as many others....THE PATCH DOESNT INSTALL.
I didnt play nothing and i already having problems , i hope the game doesnt have problems like this.

If you are unable to patch the client, download the newest installer (v1051) from the download page. That will solve the problem.
