Need Help With crossfire

This problem has been going on since halloween patch why can't i start crossfire HGC whatever its called opens up gets to like 99 or 100 closes and then no crossfire i have windows xp service pack 3 32bit any help?? i keep checking fourms everyday for people with the same problem but no one replys so plz Saidan help@

Windows 2000 prof.

antivir disabled

zonealarm xtrap & co enabled

nothing, start game, game runs thru routine, try to patch... nothing, all cf-tasks closed, like i have never started the game.
