Getting people to stop axe/shoveling

I played a few knife only matches and i use a knife because...its knife only, I do have a perm axe which i use in GM but not in knife only. So anyways there was a guy with a shovel i had a hard time knifing so i asked him "Hey dark, do you like the m12s" and he replied "No thats for noobs" and i said "Then why are you using a shovel" and right after he said "Fine ill use my knife -.-" I played that in a couple other games and when you get them to reply to the m12/scarL question with a response like dark, 3/3 times they switched to their knife.

So if you like to use knives only in knife only like i do, try that! I know it wont always work but it is kind of funny especially if you think about it alot of people that complain about the m12s being cheap, also use a shovel/axe in knife only which is also cheap lol. So yeah try that maybe itll work out well for you too.

Knife only refers to only melee weapons, suck it up.

I played Knife Only once...aside from the cool laugh sound of knifing someone, I thought "whats the point" when the animations don't match the game play.

I dont see whats wrong with the axe, and the only reason ppl hate the shovel, is because of the weird animation, where on the screen, u have dodged the swing, but you still die,

Well, just because the peaon restrictions are set to "Knife Only" doesn't mean it's specifcally knives only. And they probably didn't bother to change it to "melee only" because people wouldn't take it so literally.

The knife is free, axe/shovel/katana aren't, so obviously they are going to be better than knife, and just because they are easier to use than the knife, doesn't make it cheap.

It only says knife only because the mode was made back when there was only one melee weapon, and that was knife.

I bet the name will get changed to melee only eventually.

Nothing, it ONLY does hs with 1 slash hit...

I used to play knife matches with shovel and axe, because i can't knife. I always got high-ratio scores, like 4/5+.
When my axe and my shovel expired, i tried to play with knife, getting only 1/1.2 KDR cause of people with axe or shovel.
