Wrong CRC detected

I post about this for the third time. Does anyone know a fix for for it? if not than im just quitting because I keep getting the Error "Wrong CRC has been detected" and it wont let me patch. I have posted multiple support tickets and posted in forums and nobody will help me with this fix. Can someone be nice enough to help??

CRC errors may be the result of the compressed files used by crossfire. So 1 or more of the rez or cab files maybe corrupted. You have probably been told this before or even tried but you should try deleting the entire crossfire folder and reinstall. Not just uninstall but delete the whole folder and try again.

The CRC errors could also be caused by bad sectors on your hard drives or even through ram problems. So if you continue to get those errors you should run some memory and hard drive scans to see if problems are lurking there.

Could you tell me what to use to scan for such items? and thank you for finally helping me its been so frustrating. this is the 3rd time Ive had to uninstall and reinstall because of errors
