Crossfire file corruption detected

title says it

i opened cf with norton antivirus, msn and firefox open..and my ipod plugged in...goes black screen(..which it tends to do when i just start to open crossfire) and it pops up.."Crossfire File corruption detected..closing crossfire" or something like that..i tried redownloading, failed. Tried turning off norton failed, tried to turn off firewall..that didn't work

im just wondering if it's just my pc or if others are having this problem..i didn't read about any patches this week.
