Premium = No Hacks
Just had a thought. Would like some feedback.
- 1st I would like to ask that anyone reading this understand that this is NOT a hack hate/complaint thread. So only post accordingly.
I have been a gamer for the past 6+ years of MMO's and MMO RPG's. Some of the other games I have played in the past have a "PREMIUM" membership that holds "PREMIUM" privileges.
I fully understand that this is a "FREE" online MMO which is available around the world for anyone to play. The biggest Problem is the illegal programs that some players use. However, there are certain perks to buying Ultimate Games Cards etc. (special weapons, virtual currency, and whatnot). Many players do spend money on this game.
Here is my thought .. What about creating a Premium Package for players who want clean servers. Open up 2+ servers, for premium players only, to use for a small fee (example $20-$30 US funds every 5-6 months) and have it heavily monitored. Any players proved to be using hacks will lose their premium membership and banned from premium servers. That and the fact I doubt many of the true hacks will pay money just to get banned, making it a clean server. Not to mention that many of the new player who come to play CrossFire and leave due to the number of hacks out there would be reduced drastically.
This is just a thought. It would create more revenue for Z8games to cover the overhead for the new server and moderation of it. I would not expect this to be a widely accepted idea by all players. But the ones who truly do spend money on here, & don't hack, may feel a bit more comfortable in spending a bit of extra cash in securing their investments in the game.
I for one would and could name umpteen more players who stand behind me on this notion.

Nice suggestion there,
but like everything in the world it has negative sides to it too, the main one is that only those who spend money on CF can get it. There are a number of players out there , including me, that have been playing for a long while now and never buy ZP(or spend money on CF).
It surely will make life easier for a few people, even though the suggestion to make a server for people who played the game 2+ years is a little better (in my opinion.).

Thats what they are doing now.
Reason: Cant get away from the Hack users.

Would you say that you have never spent the cash due to having none? Or rather not wanting to waste money on a hack infested game? This idea could change some of that.
I find most that hack users hop onto newly created accounts they don't care about. Making your idea of a "2+ years" server a duly noted idea. On the otherhand those hack users (I highly doubt) have ever spent money on their hack accounts. -

I mentioned players do not spend money on a game they have recently joined, making a paid premium server (while a few would) more for people who have played the game and want to continue playing. So a paid premium server would still not have much of an effect on new players leaving. -
what is z8 doing against the hackers? im gettin tired of the fkking hackers.

If you have any feedback as to my original idea, please feel free to post your opinions. But this is not a "Hack Hate Thread". I am almost positive you can find millions of such threads by doing a simple Forum Search if that is what you are looking for.Actually a very nice thought, but I dont believe someone want his |free korean counter strike clone| become a |pay to play| game.
Good point. You must remember though .. this would not effect any of the original servers being "free to play". If a player wanted to pay for this service ... Good. If not .. don't. -
hmmm, remove normal kick and give it to premiums and you have my approval...besides that seems good enough(make em work for their money)
Good idea to OP & I like this idea too. I don't see many hackers wanting to pay money to go hack on whats supposed to be a clean premium server lol.
& premium kick would be nice. Kick system is abused a lot. Even like - nobody under sfc kicking would be a little better. -

This wouldnt solve the kick problem. Everyone has abused the kick system, what makes you think that just because people pay for it, they will stop abusing it? Based on what is said here, people would probably abuse it even more.
I agree with the premium, but the reality is they will either close this thread or say no with lots of miniscule reasons like "This will take too much time", "We already have a load on our shoulders". etc.
I think stated this three times today but here we go again. CF seriosly needs to fix the hacker problem and put in some serios hours to help out the community. Whats sad is that other games get patchs nearly every week. We get one every other month. -

This. Premium kick is a bad idea.
In this new server there would be no point in kicking a hacker... Just let him play and in a day or two he will be banned. (perm ban from pay to play server?) -

And well, it's a good idea, better than the "turn this into a P2P game" and the "add that CA (combat arms) elite moderator thing nao!", also, if it is only 1 server with few channels (let's say, 5 channels) it'll be easy to visit every room periodically, so less work for GM's in these servers, the paying thing also keeps the hackers away because they'll have to either do surveys or pay to play there, so it's not a simple "recriate account, restart the modem and hack again".

and hell, add some spice to it and make a premium clan channel :x -

There's already staff that has to monitor all servers, forcing many in there will get them away from where they need to be. -

We do think of things like this, but we have to think it through 100%.
Hmm, that's why i said that the premium servers will be significantly smaller than the normal ones, should require 3~5 GM's to heavily monitor it (yeah, should be only 1 server with few channels, 2, 5 at maximum)

I play on UK servers, and over there, a lot of hackers (yes even some of the most obvious one killing a whole team at spawn) have high ranks and ZP weapons. It's common to see SPOP, STAR or GSG9, with a ZP weapon in their hand, throwing ZP nades, all while performing artistic upper body 360° rotations (i.e. aimbot).
These people have money, a premium server would not stop them from annoying you.

But... let's imagine it does stop 99% of the hacker, can you see the consequence : regular servers have less players (because of the premiums that left it) but the same amount of hackers = a higher concentration of hacker for the non-paying folks (such as myself).
- if the premium is a small community then it would be a lot of work adding 2 servers for a small group of people
- if there are a lot of premiums, then the increase in the concentration of hackers in regular servers would be all the more important, annoying the regular players even more.
Besides, the very existence of a premium, more secured, server, could even make some people believe that the regular servers are kind of abandoned or less watched over, which could result in more hackers.
It would just make the ragers, rage more IMHO. -

How many times would a hacker need to pay Z8games to gain access to the premium server before he just gets that account banned from it before he takes the hint? That and I bet Z8 could put that coin to good use. That and remember, 90% of the hacks causing problems are the ones you get for free on forums and YouTube. Meaning that most the hackkers never paid for their stuff and would not bother with the prem. server.This. Premium kick is a bad idea.

yes the idea would not be a "Premium Kick", but rather access to a heavily supervised server where hacks will not last for weeks only to return afterwards. A very valid point. It is very hard to say how anything would pan out in the long run without having done it before. Maybe they could open up a few such servers and give a 3 month free trail to all members of CF. Then after a couple months reevaluate the situation and weigh out the Pros/Cons of such a premium servers value to the CF community.

hmm, i think they should do as they did in one of the BR games that was being hacked way over the limit (a.k.a. everyone pratically had hacks), close the registers for a while, clean the game, restart de registers, do a good selection ._.
also, scanning the computer for hacks/cheats will help a lot if possible to x-fire,

well, rex said most of the hacks that works today are V.I.P. paid hacks, wich tell us that they have money to spend on them, also, i've been seeing that the in CA, most of the hackers do buy NX. -

No only a few have the proper VIP, what everyone has is a cracked vip hack and some other download from a site I won't mention.
