And yea i mostly use my AWM in long ranged maps like Cairo and S&D's :cool:depends where you use it and how you use it. -
i am a very good sniper (some times managing a kdr of only 1 but sometimes a kdr of 10 lol) and i can pull of a bunch of mulity kills+ or some times i cant even get 1 kill (the hardest 1 was in SnD i took 6 people down rapidly.. then i heard people say f11 f11 so i had no choice of quickly leaving the game...) but before when i started i used awm from the ground and i loved it.. but later as i got enough money to get either 1 i chose the dsr and i found it better in some aspects but awm also has its pros
dsr can fire with out going out of scope (good and bad)
dsr can only scope once with 1.5x scope (good and bad)
dsr looks better
awm must shoot 1 then leave scope then come back to it (good and bad)
awm can scope 1x or 2x (good and bad)
awm is cheaper
about the reload i dont no they are about the same
for no scope about the same
for damage about the same
so your choice

The Awm is for me as you can hold the shoot button to stay out of scope (i know absolute opposite to dsr). Thats what i like because releasing will let you go back to scope to QS.
The dsr can QS to a limited point.
If you are going to be and assault sniper and storm with the riflers in a scrim, get the AWM
If you are the defend the castle type guy, the DSR -
I prefer AWM to DSR because of a few reasons: AWM for me just seems more accurate especially when quick-scoping and noscoping, i hate no-scoping with DSR for some reason i just cant get the hang of it. Overall the damage is supposed to be an instant kill for any shot torso and up. AWM usually is consistent with one-hit kills, however, i have had DSR take 2 torso shots to kill. Of course if you hit legs the damage may vary. Im not sure on clip size but its sniping so it doesnt matter too much since there are plenty of opportunities to reload, but the DSR has a longer reload which is very annoying to me. Out of the two i would take the AWM, especially AWM-Camo lol. Hoped this helped a bit!

AWM MAN DEFINITELY!!!! the dsr-1 is slow, you can't quickscope properly and i don't like the fact that the scope stays there. with the AWM, i can shoot someone and while it does the bolt or whatever i can look around to see where the opponent's are but with the dsr-1 you have to unscope and that will take a lot of time and mostly, after you shoot a bullet, you want to move around but you can't with the dsr-1 cuz the scope is still there and you have to unscope to move freely

depends on your style. are you going to use your sniper just for fun in sniper only matches/random sniping where you stay in one spot? if yes get the DSR. (AWM can do the same except DSR is more convenient) Or are you going to go use it EVERYWHERE? hardcore sniper/ etc. if yes get your self an awm/awm camo.

not true, the AWM doesn't shoot just as fast as the DSR-1 it shoots slower because its a bolt action sniper rifle, DSR-1 is semi auto.
not true, same speed, but with the dsr-1 you stay zoomed in whilst waiting for next shot, which slows you down, and limets your HUD -
DSR. I like being able to stay scoped for more than 1 shot. DSR would be a "turret" sniper or a "combat" sniper. Made for killing numerous targets without having to pull that bolt back into place.
AWM made for quick "cheapshot" scope sniping. Such as going around a corner, QS, kill and run. Fact that I have to lose the scope per shot, is annoying to me but it's still a fun little weapon to use.
