Game sounds robotic and is choppy?

This happened to me two weeks ago. It stopped out of nowhere but now its happening again. Does anyone know what's going on? My game sounds like a bunch of aliens having an orgy when there's loud noises.

I got this 2 weeks ago too.. I started playing with no sound. It sucks :S
