Help Please
Hi i got a usb game controller and want to customize it for crossfire. How do i get my controller to do keyboard assignments? for example i want instead of right click 2 shoot, make a button on my controller do it. Im stumped and I dont know what to do any help would be appreciated. Thanks

i do not think it is possilbe, i saw somesay it somewere that this game doesnt support controlers like that, if it does that would be great cause im not good with pc control
so i cant go to my computer options and customize it?
even if i did make the controller buttons to the keyboard?
what? im confused...

Although z8 doesn't allow gamepads to be used with cf, you can use a program called xPadder which simulates gamepad buttons/movements as the buttons on the keyboard/mouse. In other words, xPadder can make it so that when you press the "a" button on your gamepad, it's like pressing "a" on the keyboard, so if you're typing something, and you hit the "a" button on the gamepad, an "a" would appear on whatever you're typing.
You would assign buttons like: Simulate "w" button when you press up on the control pad and such. ("w" is move forward in cf) -
This is why ppl are dumb, why use a controller if you have a mouse and a keyboard? It's 10x easier. If someone had a mouse that was compatible with a console, I bet he can become the best COD player ever on console.
i think it is just preference, i think the control is easier, i know im better with a controler then pc controls cause i am much more familuar with the controler, this is the first game i ever played with pc controls and still think its weird haha -

some people hardly play average with a mouse but own with a controller.

i downloaded and gave my controller assignments it works but when crossfire loads -nuthn -.- -
I know how. Ill show you step by step alright.
1. Don't use controllers theyre not as good as mouse and key bored.

a keyboard is not as comfortable as a controller, especially when you play for a long time
I play my PS3 more than my PC and I can tell you my thumbs and little finger gets painful after a while... about 30 mins.
Dont even get me started on the XBox controller -

ok. So uh crossfire doesnt support controllers? and if so what would you reccomend for a better keyboard layout?
