It's just odd for people to choose something less valued (hiphop usually has one person singing, which is pretty boring and lame). Rock has that one person's skills... times 4... one of the 4 sings, the others play instruments... These music also include Adrenaline Rhythmes... who would choose the Jonas Brothers over awesome adrenaline? If one does, that's pretty sad.

theres plenty of hip hop / rap songs that get you pumped, you just have to find the right one. when i was in wrestling, before every match, i would listen to throw it up - lil jon. it got me pumped.. i wouldn't go a match without listenin to it.
just because hip hop / rap isn't full of screaming guys in tight cloths don't mean its not gonna get you goin.

for those that don't know, here's a simple test to figure out if a song is hip hop, or if its just pop.

1. does the music make you want to lean back and chill, maybe enjoy the sunshine, or drive around? Maybe it makes you feel connected and puts you into the story, do you feel Connected? -there is a good chance that this is hip hop, but there are other qualifications:

2. is the singer/artist talking about something real, that you yourself can relate to and connect with on a realistic personal level? -this also applies to rock but, this is about hip hop compared to pop soooo... see the next step:

3. Is the instrumental a smooth rolling or funky/jazzy drum loop with multiple fills and samples? -this is your best indicator for hip hop, but some pop stars like to fool you! be careful and take the final step:

4.look in the mirror and slap yourself because you needed these instructions.
