Something I don't understand.
There's been something really bothering me, and that is the lack of pugs being played nowadays. I used to be able to log on to crossfire, and on to a pug vent, and have been playing a pug in under 30 minutes.
However, now, I will log on to a pug vent and see a completely empty vent except for possibly an admin in a private room. This really annoys me, because I can log onto echo 8 and see multiple "competitive" players playing pubs. We have two huge 100 slot pug vents available, and no one is ever on them. It seems like there's always enough people on in echo 8, but no one ever pugs. Why?
To me, pugs are a great way to get better and to have some fun with people you don't know. They are a lot more competitive, in my eyes, than a random pub and also a lot more fun. Not only that, but you get to actually talk with people over vent instead of typing. Plus, you don't have to deal with people rejoining or leaving randomly when they get a little angry.
It seems weird to me that anyone would rather pub than pug. Pugging definitely helps improve you improve your game in scrims, much more than a pub would do. So why don't people play pugs any more?

Yeah I agree with you, I used to play on dot's pug vent like 24/7, but then it died.
Cause usually It's ruined due to immature & uptight staff that jump at the chance to ban if they here so much as the word bitch. The staff always laugh it up how they have the power to ban if some1 so called "makes them mad". Pug is dead. Imo no pug was as good as LL's Pug

That can be either true or false, it depends on which pug you're playing. -

There is a simple answer to that - Don't bother the staff. It's their vent, they can do whatever they want to you. It's a privilege to play a pug on their vent, not a right. -

Well lets be honest here after the success of the "mature" pugs all the little kiddies wanted daddy to pay for there vent so they could host there fail 1 lol. Never played dot's before it died...seems interesting -

Still not sure how the pug vents "fail". It seems like everyone cusses out the admins and then expects not to get banned. Plus, when they do get banned, they complain about it on the forums and go around saying "x pug vent fails I got banned for no reason". WOGL will permanently ban you from the league if you cuss out an admin on vent. -

Not really that...It's just always a power struggle between staff & the players...All I said it doesn't help for the staff to act like they're the big bullies. Ask every1 who "Dayo" is on Pug vent for staff. They will tell you how much fun they can have If I'm there -

Once again, they're not "bullies" if they ban people for cussing them out.

Sometimes they are bullies dude...You won't understand till you see it from the start. Alot of people used to get on to just chill. The drafts are still very packed though. Good place to meet some Good CF players -

This thread isn't about drafts, it's about pugs. For the last time, if you do not do anything to the admins, they will not do anything to you.
