How to improve my fps?

Hello everybody, I have a problem here ...
I don't know what is happening, but when I get close to other player during the game my fps drops, gets to go to 5 FPS unplayable. My card is an ATI HD 5750 Vapor-X is not likely to lag. I play PES 2011, 2 Modern Warfare, Halo 3,without problems with FPS, but my fps in Crossfire is low even with the textures in the "Low", and it happens that I mentioned above.

Clean your computer.

Use GameBooster.

Try turning the resolution down/up, depending on whichever you have it on now.

And stop playing MW2.

How i can fix it?
I turn off my sound and the problem stoped, but i dont want play without sound.

try gamebooster
personally i think z8 should fix the fps issues T_T
i get less then 30 fps WITH gamebooster and thats the only way i can actually play
yet i run CS1.6 fine and Urban terror 90+fps and S4 league(when i played that garbage) were fine
