Usually it's located at the Configuration/Options menu. If you can't find it just make a new post with your Anti-Virus information, Name, Version, etc.

Ok so I redid the version.ini thing back to normal after adding all .exe and .dll files to exclusion list and it still wont work. I'm woundering if anyones gotten on crossfire at all today and I'm hoping this is resolved soon and that Z8 will E-mail us all letting us know its fixed or how to fix it before all the forums are spammed with snark remarks and bad experiences.

Adding an exclusion to AVG

Set 1

1. Double click the AVG icon in the lower right
2. Double click Resident Shield in the AVG 7.5 Network Edition - Control Center
3. Click the Properties Tab
4. Click Advanced Settings
5. Add the following to the Exclude files... line "C:Program Files/Z8Games/crossfire.exe"

Set 2

1. Double click the AVG icon in your desktop's system tray, usually lower right corner of the desktop
2. Click on Resident Shield
3. Click on the "Excludes" Tab
4. Click on Edit Excludes
5. Click on Add Path (For Windows XP users click through to c:/Program Files/Z8Games)
6. Click on the "Edit List" button
7. Type in crossfire.exe
8. Press the "OK" button
9. Press the "Check Names" Button
10. Press the "OK" Button
11. Press the "Apply Button"
12. Press the "OK" Button
13. Press the "OK" Button in the Resident Shield Window

You need to Restart your computer after doing this.

If you're afraid that AVG has deleted a file, then open up the interface and click on the Computer Scanner tab. In the bottom right corner, there is a button labeled Virus Vault. Click it to open up your virus vault. This is where all your infected files get quarantined. The deleted file might still be in there, since it shouldn't clear out the vault until you tell it to do so. Just click on the relevant files and restore them. Note that if they are infected, you might want to use another scanner or antimalware program to clean out the infection.
