Yeah that will get you more than 30 FPS in 8v8, I mean my PC sucks and I get 50 FPS in a 8v8.
By the way I hear that if you have Win XP Pro x64 (I have x86) it uses less FPS.
For e.g. when I was on Win7 Ultimate x86 I got 25 FPS in 8v8
Now I am on Win XP Pro x 86, I get double that. -

Tnx for the tip,But people say windows 7 works better for fps in cf? But i also heard it has problems with the fullscreen...

You say your father is "rich" and therefore you are. You do realize that you just said you were only getting a <£500 computer, and that it's going to be your Christmas present. You also failed the fact that a lot of people can muster up $500 a month for ZP. They call that a job. I see many flaws in your logic. -
What do people really mean when they say stuff like "I get around x FPS in 8vs8"?
When I say: "I get around 50 FPS in 8vs8" what I mean is:
When I play an 8vs8 match, 75% of the time my FPS almost always fall somewhere between 40-60 FPS, but when things start getting messy with lots of players shooting and bleeding at the same time, I consider myself happy (and lucky) if I'm above 25 FPS.
But that's just me!

I mean, my family is rich as well. My parents are both in the medical field ( mom is a nurse, dad is a pediatrician ), BUT, I don't gloat. I will never gloat about my money / riches until I have 100% earned them myself. I don't EVER buy anything virtually, which is why my family doesn't mind me getting a new computer every now and then.
A new computer a year? I would do that, but I'm perfectly happy with my ASUS Gaming Laptop. Runs 300 FPS in games like CS and about 200 in CF, more than enough. -

everyone that think hes gonna get high fps is dumb. i myself have 1gb ram in my video card and i get like 80 - 100 fps in 8v8. even though u got a better processor, which will let you run it much more smoothly, ur graphics card wont let u run cf at more than like 50 fps
yr stupid... is not just about graphics card....
its about motherboard and northbridge too....
and i get anywherre from 200-340 fps....
never used to till i changed the motherboard to a gaming 1....
and no its not over clocked at all... nothing in my pc is...
thats a cheap machine these days only cost around $500 max... i got it around year and a half ago maybe bit longer -

u got a good graphics card. i also have 512 mb, and i get around 120 fps. it really does matter. i wasnt only saying that he has little memory on his graphics card, but the card itself is old -

Assuming you're building this yourself, you have a triple channel memory setup on a dual-channel system. RAM sticks work in pairs so you need either 2GB or 4GB, not in between.
OT: Your gfx card is the main bottleneck if you're wanting more FPS. While its not the only factor, a better gfx card = more FPS.
And imo you're one of those rich d-bags. Your daddy pays for everything, so you'll never have to accomplish anything yourself. Enjoy sitting on your fat ass doing nothing of value for the rest of your life. -

For having so much money, I would of thought you would of been better educated. My rich family members don't make nearly as many grammatical mistakes or have as deeply flawed logic as you. Then again you probably aren't rich enough for that.

Also for being as rich as you say you are, I would think you could buy a computer that does have already obsolete parts. I mean only poor people would get a X3 core, 3gigs of ram, a HD 4250, and Home Premium.
Ballers all get Black Edition x4's or x6's, at least a 5770, a bluray burner, a 120hz monitor, a SSD hard drive, and at least 6 gigs of ram. I mean come on my 15 year old nephew has built a better computer. What are you poor? You picked all crap components. My 5 year old computer would get more fps than that piece of **** you picked out. Guess how much it cost for me to build it $450 USD. Must suck being as terrible at life. -
