@OP: I think the reason you get duplicates is because if it was easy to get dogtags and the reward at that time, everyone will be running around with (*now*) a D-E-Scope, and then there would be no advantage to owning one

According to Z8Games, the dog tags that you get are chosen randomly, if that's true why would I get the same dog tag 4 days in a row. Or why I always need more than 3 weeks to complete the 2 words.
Its Randomly getting the same letter. and the game hates you.

I've been trying to get the ''E'', (last one I need), for 3 weeks.
damn, i think my first set took the longest, then the second set took 8 days, third took about 10 days, and the last set i got took 8 days. i think ive gotten 3 doubles on this set now and i need 4 more -
The point is, the dog tags DON'T get chosen randomly.
True, it has to do with the missions you do. I got 8 S dogtags in a row before getting my first set, and about 6R's 10 O's before getting my 2nd set and I'm letter O away from 3rd set.
They not random, theres no way in the world you get the same letter 8 times in a row when there are 9 letters to get a chance from. -

I'm trying to figure out the *average* number of missions it should take to get all 9 dog tags, if anyone here is better at math than me please feel free to make corrections...
First dog tag with take 1 mission...
Second dog tag would take 9/8ths of a mission, because there is a chance you'll get a duplicate.
Third dog tag would take 9/7ths of a mission, using same logic...
So...
1 +
1.125 +
1.286 +
1.5 +
1.8 +
2.25 +
3 +
4.5 +
9
equals... 25.461
A little more than three weeks.
Again this would be the global average of all CF players, I'm sure the actual number varies GREATLY between players. Anyone have a better way of working out the average? -

I'm having problems getting the tags too, As I have completed over 30 missions now and still missing S2 and R2 tags. I was suspecting it was a bug but after reading forum a little I noticed no1 have had that problem so its just my imagination. Still sucks, cause even if I got the other one it would still take ~9 days to get to last. -

how can it take u 8 days if u need at least 9 days to have all 9 dog tags o_O
