Please help something is really off

Okay well... I have been playing CF for way over a year...
My laptop spec's are way past the minimum and recommended.

2.4Ghz Dual
4GB of Ram
ATI HD 4200 Card

I used to get a good 100+ FPS on every single map or game mode.

And this is my problem...
I am constanstly spiking down to 3-5FPS and I can't walk, and if I do I get stuck on averything, walls, doors, anything!

I have to wait for about 30 secs then it goes back to the usual 100ish FPS, and then 3 mins laters goes back dwn to 5 for another 30-45 secs.

I really Don't know what to do, could someone pleas help me out. Thanks

uhh how old is you PC/Laptop, if its a laptop are you wireless?

Its a laptop, about 4months old, and yes Im on wireless, but I dont think wireless connection would affect FPS, if not PING

It could be a number of things.

If you have low hard drive space, try and free some up as best as you can.

De fragment your computer when you can. This should be done monthly anyways.

Use a program called Ccleaner to remove unnecessary bulky trash that is in your computer. This can be searched in google and downloaded, its free and very useful.

If nothing else changes, you may want to check to see if your video card has become damaged. But before doing so, check to see if changing the graphic settings on crossfire help any.
