Remove the Gatling Gun

Crossfire is not a Sci-Fi shooter it is based on modern game play.
I don't believe a Gatling gun can be wielded by a single human being.
The Gatling gun is fine in M.M cuz M.M is non realistic but I don't like to see it in other modes like s&d or t/d.
"Take note of this. Crossfire is a modern, fast paced shooter. Its gameplay stye does not lend itself to heavy explosive weapons, and they will not be added. Crossfire is also not a sci-fi shooter. We will not see plasma guns or lasers in the game. So, please consider this before you post. Thanks."

a human being can easily carry a gatling gun. you ever hear of a minigun? yea that's the EXACT same thing and you hear about it being used quite a bit for the heavy munitions personnel in army squads when speed isn't of the essence. so, no, this isn't sci-fi at all. i think that you just dont like it when people just spray everywhere with it and personally i think the same thing but it's all they CAN do with it. i've used it on my friend's account before (with his permission because i wanted to see if it was worth it) and it's power is fairly low per shot (unless you're RIGHT next to them), it has lower accuracy than a shotgun once it fires more than 4 or 5 shots, and you can barely move when firing so you get like no kills unless someone else already shot them up a bit or you were already firing and someone jumps in front of you from around a corner, which probably wont happen too often. it's ONLY good point is it's high rate of fire and it's only a little faster than the M60 (as far as i could tell). and so it's only good for MM when you're in a bottleneck so you don't have anywhere to go anyways. -

a gatling minigun is the ONLY gatling gun used by the military nowadays as all the others are considered obsolete next to this one. it's known as the M-134 vulcan and it's used on helicopters and for heavy gunners in squads (some planes are also equipped with this but helicopters are more common). it is not smaller. it is not lighter. all that is added is a trigger and handle so it can be held up. the only difference is that the helicopter M-134 vulcan is always the same color, while the ones given to infantry will vary in color based on the mission (i.e. camouflage). -

agreed, it was like the little "wave" of people complaining about the winchester. it's a TERRIBLE gun and yet because you CAN get a one-hit kill (with luck and being 2 inches away) people complained that it was overpowered because people with real skill who got it use it because it's a bad gun and it proves their skill to use it and own with it. it's much the same thing here, people are complaining because it's pretty good in close combat (once it starts firing) but the solution is simple: just STAY OUT OF CLOSE RANGE or kill them before they can start firing (which is really easy to be honest) -
fo shoo
lOOL fo sho a bunch of baddies complaining about the winnie iTS A BAD GUN AND UR SAING TO REMOVE IT? lawl i laugh at this trash kid who started it and please if this game dosent live up to ur realistic standards im sure in COD you can get all those perks and have no recoil on ur gun and run as fast as god and reload your gun like a girl rubbing her t1ts drunk good job go play anotr game pleaseshadow54321 wrote: »agreed, it was like the little "wave" of people complaining about the winchester. it's a TERRIBLE gun and yet because you CAN get a one-hit kill (with luck and being 2 inches away) people complained that it was overpowered because people with real skill who got it use it because it's a bad gun and it proves their skill to use it and own with it. it's much the same thing here, people are complaining because it's pretty good in close combat (once it starts firing) but the solution is simple: just STAY OUT OF CLOSE RANGE or kill them before they can start firing (which is really easy to be honest) -
he is only right about the part that a human can not weild a Gatlit Gun
they are always planted on something. cause the Gatlit gun is a spray gun
you dont single shot with it
YOU are a complete DUMBASS!
GAH read my f*cking gatling gun guide. You DON'T spray with the gatling, you DO one shot with it, just like rpk/m60.
Now to all the other people in this thread(complaining about only for MM,etc..), you're all dumbasses -_-
Watch me play with it in any mode and own. I can EASILY disprove that it is not only for MM. Try getting some skill and patience with a gun then come back and talk when you can back your words up with something intelligible -
We have soccer grenades
Pink nades
Kiss nades
Pink backpacks
Skanky women
Tricked out AK & M4s
Really..? Going to whine about the gatling?
the skanky women isn't skanky enough for the korean devs, as soon rose comes out, we're going to have a lot of ruined sticky keyboards.
BUT-seriously. Gattling. this one time i saw it in a normal match, someone had it for egypt. They eventually RQ'ed. So luckily, it's still in MM and GM, and even in GM it sucks. -

Gatling Gun can be wield by a single person, depends on what sizes are their. The one in CF is probably the one that uses the 5.56x48mm round, therefore it's rather smaller. The bigger ones that people can't wield, due to it's weight and size, is the one that uses .308 or larger.

[MOD]D34d3y3Technically you are right. But ever since the movie "Predator", the concept of a handheld minigun has been giving gun-crazed he-men around the world a hard-on. In fact, the U.S. Military has experimented with this concept. However, carrying a 30 pound gun, that produces a constant 20 pounds of recoil when fired at just a rate of 1000 RpM, and also carrying another 35 pounds of ammo to feed it, proved to be too much to handle for even the toughest of soldiers.
Basically, this gun would make you spin around your own axle when you fire it. Kinda like a fireman trying to hold on to a huge fire hose by himself.

Just to end the confusion, The minigun is no smaller then the gatling gun on helecopters cause its the SAME THING, minigun is just a nickname! also it fires the 7.62 round not 5.56. And the highest caliber gatling gun (the GAU-8 Avenger cannon seen on A-10 Warthogs) is 30mm, almost the size of a grenade shot out of an average us grenade launcher, 40mm. I belive irl that this is impossible to hold and/or fire and think its completly unrealistic, but its a game and idc. In fact there is no other gun i want more. Btw brazilianslayer im not trolling you, just qouted your post to make a point to people who think a gatling gun on a helecopter and minigun are 2 differant things. One last thing its not called a M134 VULCAN, its the M134 minigun or Dillon minigun. Sorry but i really dislike people who think there experts on guns cause they played a game. -

Movies like "Predator", "The Terminator" and "Doom" are to blame for these kids thinking that the hand-held M134 Minigun is realistic.

It's unrealistic to have a person running around carrying the stupid thing let alone firing it in combat.
No, its not an explosive weapon but, its still unrealistic and if it has to be in the game it should only be in Mutation Mode.
Yes they can go watch predator all you need is a strong human being i bet anyone with the right training could wield one all it is is a belt fed gun not that much recoil / kickback in real life
