Crossfire Ping

Okay i've had this problem fro a while, my ping is like 1000 + with limewire open, when limewire is closed.. Well when EVERYTHING is closed. My crossfire ping is about 140 spiking from 140 to 600, I uninstalled as many things as i could, deleted as many things, and i even use the "so called problem solving" Ctrl, Alt, delete. Go to process and set the priority to high, low, whatever i tried them all and still high ping resulting in lagg. Does anyone have software that is known for reducing ping or does anyone have a good solution to this gay ass annoying problem, cause crossfire, in my opinion is the best shooting game i've played and i dont want to stop playing it or quit, but if i continue to experience this ***** ass lagg/ ping problem im ****ing quitting crossfire forever and throwing my ****ty pc out the ****ing window. And if theres a different download that i can install that works with where i live, i live in united states texas. Can someone please give me a ****ing solution? im about to go ape **** and slap someone.
