Vote For The Ban List Back.

Supposedly cause no other game has it and they didn't want everyone to keep QQ'ing that their hekker wasn't banned yet because in reality they probably didn't hack.
I see. Its good they want to act like other companies, but they should at least let us somehow know that the guy (if he did hack or anything) got banned. If he didnt at least tell us why.
This is what I'm talking about. I IZ BANNED ;[

OT: If we had the ban list, people would be complaining even more thinking the person they reported is not banned. Also, if someone was banned for hacking, there is no need for it to be made public.
DdoTt with all do respect you're prevoking the thread to go off topic. Ig you wanna talk about this make a thread named "Who hates DdoTt" much more effective than doing it on mine. -

I'm not changing words, and yes I'm singling you out cause you are the most recent and therefore most visible account of the problems. Sorry bro. Tone it down and act like the other mods. You don't need to try so hard, there is hardly any need for more anyhow.
OT: I think that the ban list would be good to have if everyone wouldn't QQ that their hekker wasn't banned. If they just accepted the decision then it would be all fine and dandy. -

If you have more to say, just pm me or we can discuss on irc.

I am not here to argue for or against your petition. Just to possibly have you think about it from a different perspective.
Situation: Someone cheated in a public game, blatantly. You went through all the proper channels of reporting him.
Ban List Public: Days, Weeks, Months go by. You don't see his name show up on the list. You become angry and figure it's not worth reporting people because they don't get banned. You publicly complain about this person not getting banned. 100,000 other players do the same thing and become angry about that player not getting banned. Having it public, just gives players more freedom to simply start pointless threads on "Oh Look! This guy got banned! Haha!". Too much headache, in my opinion.
Ban List Private: You report someone. End of story. You did your part. I personally would be satisfied with reporting him. Why would I want to stare at a public list day after day knowing that the player isn't getting banned? It would just discourage players even more. However, that is a matter of my opinion. You might want to stare at the ban list for some random player, day in and day out. That would be your decision. But, what is the point?
It's obviously been made clear it's not going to come back up. I admire your efforts, so good job there. But, I don't think your end goal is going to be satisfied. Excellent try though. -

If everyone would not complain and do what you said about reporting end of story then it would be fine to have the ban list up, and yet if that went back up it would revert to the aforementioned situation, and we would end up back where we were. I'm all for the ban list, its like calling a reference on someone after a job interview, yet to have it isn't feasible with the current state of immaturity Crossfire's community is in. -
I don't see the point of Ban lists tbh.
The biggest issue I remember with the previous Ban list was, obviously, the QQ.
"OMG I REPORTED HIM AND HE DOESN'T APPEAR ON THE BAN LIST".
Sooner or later, all reports get issued. If they're clear, sooner. If not, later. System is like this, in my point of view.
There's no need for a Ban List IMO. -

Good points. I believe having the ban list up would just lead to inappropriate discussions calling out this player for getting banned or that player for getting banned. It would cause more headache for the CF Moderators to clean up. But, I can only imagine people sitting there watching the ban list and becoming angry that someone didn't get banned. Starting another thread, "Why didn't he get banned?" and so on. I agree, the community is not yet ready for a public ban list. It would cause too many problems. They took it down for a reason.I don't see the point of Ban lists tbh.

Or we could simply do what Smily said as the ban reassurance process

But what happens when the person you wanted banned, doesn't get banned? These reports I'm sure are reporting by the thousands everyday, you can be sure that they can't keep up with them, even if your report was solid proof. What's the point of having the list then? To complain about it? -

It would be infinitely better if people left things like that off the forums all together and simply let it be, however, since we do not live in an idealistic world people take that idea to the extreme and accuse the Mods of not doing their job, which is in fact not theirs in the first place. However they do review replays at times.
Secondly, the mod's do jack as it is, not to sound like a hypocrite but seriously, they don't. And what little they do do right people rain down fiery hate and anger about, so that when they do mess up, even once. Well, we know how DdotT is feeling.
Edit: @ above post, Not like dot or anyone else has any say in what really happens. Fallen barely decides what goes on. We should really get a hold of the Korean's emails. -

There will always be QQing anyways. If they didn't get banned, that means they didnt do anything bad and they just need to DEAL WITH IT. But at least show if they're clean or not :]
The ban list isn't needed, but we dont want to keep asking ourselves if the obvious 1 hit kill hacker in MM is banned or not :P
Like this guy called DxRamonxD (or something). He used the noclip hack. It was pretty obvious. I reported him, and I never knew if he got banned or not.
I've met him 4 times now. I reported him months ago.

So someone tells you to not do something, you do it anyway. No wonder we've had all these issues with you lately.
First off, I you wanted a petition, which I told you, was not allowed.
Second, I told you, Saidin made it very clear, we WEREN'T Bringing it back. He made his reasons clear in the threads made there after.
You said you made this thread following Josh's guide.
Incorrect.
If you had followed that guide, you would have not made it, since I explained it to you already over XFire.
